Stealth CFL basement grow

I'm hoping for much better root development this run, translating into bigger thicker stickier buds. The Scrog setup this time should utilize my space so much better. Learned so much from first run, now onward and upward as I perfect what I have to work with.
well it should translate for sure the light exposure should be more balanced with the scrog saw your first grow not like that was a bad outcome either haha! for awhile i thought your avatar was a pic you pulled off google haha but i guess that should be taken as a complement because i thought it looked pretty pro haha

Thanks Man! Took that pic using the closeup/macro setting on old digital camera when last run started flowering. I'm enjoying the outcome immensely, ready to plump up the second batch. We will see if what I have curing (and keep sampling, haha) lasts until the next batch is ready. Haven't decided as yet, but thinking I might upgrade the box to a 150 HPS for flowering, possibly for this run, if not this one then the next. Supposed to be gorgeous here today, might be a good day for a ride. Would be kind of funny to see me riding home from the hydro store with a light strapped on the back of the Harley. Will have to take a picture of that!

Exactly my feelings! I wanted to hold off and see how I did with the current setup and things I learned from run #1, but don't think I can wait. I have one friend, that I got the initial "bug" and clones from that grows in a small cab with a 150 HPS. Visited yesterday and his buds are filling in so nicely that I think it is time for the upgrade and a nice day for a ride.

rarely wasted but at the same time your always looking for improvments and wanting to buy bigger and better things after youve tested out setups, thats hwere the money starts to get wasted, when you let your old setups sit there

Decided on letting it ride as is for now. See how the Scrog goes yield wise, it is looking so good in there today, did a little trimming, fim'ing and moving branches around. Decided not to mess with too many things here and not realize what made the biggest improvement, we have better watering and feeding habits, different soil and the Scrog. Lets leave it at that and ride...

12/12 time for the ladies! Screen nice and full. Humidity is down so far from first run, which i attribute to the more conservative watering/feeding schedule and the trimming of the lower branches and leaves for so much better airflow.

Update???!!!
Sorry Lady.J, Spring brings with it a lot more work around here. Just not a lot of time to post. I will get some pics later tonight when the lights come on. We are are Day 25 of 12/12 and this run is so far ahead of where we were at the same time last batch. My prediction is I at least double the yield of my first run.

Those pics make me happy :). So in retrospect...would you have gone 12/12 sooner, or do you think you went at the right time? I noticed all that growth above your screen!

Just the right time, which was just short of 12 weeks post cloning, but what I would have done differently was raise the lights to actually encourage more stretch. My opinion on this may change depending on how the buds fill in, but I think I could have lets them stretch more. I have lots of vertical space to work with, I really don't use half of it.

I saw it at Home dePot and the lightbulb went off. Got the dimensions, went home to plan and then went back a few days later to buy it and get started.
Every time I go to Lowe's or Home Depot, I'm always thinking about what could help my grow. haha.
Nice work though!
