Stealth CFL basement grow

how well does that o-zone generator work? I'm having ventilation problems due to have a carbon filter attached to my exhaust, not enough pressure to pull all the air through the filter. If i take the filter off, i believe i will have MUCH better airflow. I'm going to need to control the odor if i rid the filter, and thats where the ozone generator comes into play.

Does it TOTALLY eliminate the smell?

For my setup it works great, I went with the better model as I didn't like the look of the smaller one. Here is the one I got, OZN-1. I know it is overkill, but better safe than sorry. I have an somewhat but not totally contained room in the basement when my boxes are. You can hear the fan on the Ozone Gen when it runs, but in my situation it just sounds like noise from upstairs in the kitchen. You never want to have the Ozone generator in the actual grow space. I have it on a timer but as we get closer to finishing I have been slowly increasing the times that it runs. My situation is different than you though as I do not have exhaust fans in my cab, so I'm not directly, but just indirectly, venting the cab. I can only speak to my space, I have gotten whiffs of odor, but I am hyper-sensitive to it now. I get a whiff, I increase the time it runs. Hope that helps!

Plants drying nicely in the shed.

So post grow autopsy: I was mostly disappointed in the root development when I took them out of the bags. I completely attribute this to over watering, a complete newbie mistake. Oh well, once things are dry I will post weight. I'm happy about how my first grow, first since the 1980's, went, learned a ton, much more to learn. Enjoying the ride--Onward and upward! Second run, clones from first now happily under the lights, here we go again. LOVE IT!

Nice work, nice cabinet, nice harvest, nice nice nice......

Awsome job for a first grow in your new shed. And well done with the perpetual ganja girl clones. ;)

Here's my stealth grow room.....

Very stealth, NICE! Yeah, the guy I got my clones from, a good friend, is jealous since I figured out the whole cloning thing way before he did in his growing hobby. I learned most everything here, and a few e-books. Onward and Upward! I will get some shots of round 2 tomorrow if time permits. Someday I hope to try some of the wild genetics I see at these seed banks, yummy stuff!

Awesome job, Man. Thanks for the inspiration.

:weed:
My friend who gave me the clones was my inspiration, he planted the seed in my mind. Granted back in the distant '80's I had two plants growing hydroponically under an HPS, god I really had no freakin' clue what I was doing back then! I would be proud if this provided any inspiration for others. Or just ideas, new ways to see things to improve in any of our setups.

Alrighty, a few pics of the daughters (clones) of the first batch. This was my first attempt at cloning, I did it right into soil, had a 50% success rate, will do better next time. They are just over 8 weeks since they were cut from their Mama. These were originally in my clone/veg box, not a lot of light, but it worked until my main cab was free. LST'ed, low and ready now that they have been transplanted in to the "custom grow bags", hahahaha. I have been showing amazing restraint this time with the water.
I will not over water.

Well, dried and into jar yesterday, turned up a tad moist this am so back out in the little veg cab with one of those small fans keeping things circulating. Needs at least 24 hours before going back in the jars.

I love my $3 ebay hygrometers, the best for jarring. I used all 4 in the same jar, exact same readings on all 4.

Bud yield 26 grams
Good trim 13 grams

Things the really matter learned -- My over watering and failure to ph my feeding mix each time, learned by disappointing root ball, was my main failure. Also I have the perfect seed heating pad for that new shelf, keep soil warm, did I use it, no. Why? Not a clue, guess with the crappy pine shelf I didn't like the electrical under it as I saw the water issue early. The wire shelf is perfect for that. New plants look very happy, roots warm.

Things I will do differently -- Keep the girls roots happy, much warmer and letting things completely dry before feedings. A) Less money on nutrients B)Happy Roots = Happier Larger Plant I need larger yields and this is my key for next batch.

Ditching the MG Moisture Control for MG Organic, yeah I know that one of the ingredients is dehydrated chicken shit. Price is still a consideration. MG Moisture control is too unforgiving for me. I would rather control the nutrients added. Problem that developed with batch two showed flushing out a lockout is impossible to do quickly with MG Moisture Control.

I am doing a true scrog this time. Going to choose 4 corners once we begin flowering/stretch and weave some of the material I have been using for tying things up, it is a waxed heavy duty fiber. I need more tops, good scrog, with my current lighting with is what I have for now, will make life easier for me. This also entails more trimming, something I also failed at last time. More airflow. I got so lucky run 1, had mold under the bags, not pretty. Nothing transferred to the buds or trim.

Things I will consider.

HPS light, but this ain't in the cards right now cause I be poor. This will require moving into active ventilation.

I want to perfect the yield on what I have now, go from there, onward and upward. I can do better.

I'll send you a preliminary smoke report when I cease to be so damn high.
