Looks like bad news, i think my biggest healthiest skunk is actually a boy :(
does everyone else agree?

More bad news, the white widow ive left solely under the LED definately did not like being about 4 inches away.
so ive increased the distance to continue testing the LED light. it is around a foot away now so ill see if it picks up any more from here and gets better. if not itl go under the CFL and replace the suspected male skunk

now onto good news, the white widow is coming along nicely and still a beautiful green :)
my only problem is that there are a few flying little critters around, nats i think they are called.
will they cause any issues?

and my second skunk that is doing well, but no signs of sex just yet

I'm just doing 12/12 from seed to get the first grow done plus I'm unsure of how much room a plant round take in my cab
It is all a learning process for new
up soon will be a 250w hps
And two feminized plants with a little bit vegging as well and I'll work from there

Wow man they have really good colour to them hey! Sorry to hear about the boy, hope the other skunk is a girl :)

Bring on the HPS man! Now you've got Kite chimed in, shit will start to get real :D

Edit- yep they're gnats alright, little fuckers! Adding an inch of sand on top of the soil will stop the adults laying eggs but you may need to treat the soil with neem oil or azamax (thinks thats how you spell it) or i think you can even use BTI which is a beneficial bacteria...if they infest the roots they will stop your plant growing hey and cause really airy, fluffy buds ;)

Always easier to ask for forgiveness. I was looking over the journal Odin and I couldn't find any mention of the grinspoon past page 6. Did she not make it? I really want to try the grinspoon out, it looks just like this heirloom sativa this oldtimer I used to know grew. Like four months of flowering but she was amazing smoke for sure.

Lovin the upgrade to a 250w, you'll love it! She will put out some considerable heat compared to the LED though. I run a 4in inline fan with a scrubber and it works really well for me. It was loud but I built a small box out of MDF for it, sealed around the tube connections real good with gorilla tape, dropped it inside another bigger MDF box and filled the dead space with sprayfoam. The only noise I hear now is the air rushing through the vent ducting.

Subbed and looking forward to another 250 watter havin a go at her. If I can help in anyway feel free to pop a message here or on my journal, or PM me. Peace

I forgot to update about the grinspoon, I think a mixture of the LED not being powerful enough to grow and also her being really sensitive to nutes killed her

I still have a bunch of grinspoon seeds so I'll be sure to try again when I get a few gross under my belt.

That's a good idea about your inline fan being tucked away like that.
Do you have any pics just so I could grab a clearer idea of how you did it. Sounds like I'll have to do something very similar for my fans
Thank you for your help stoneslacker and also you too easty :)

Sorry man I never remember to take pics of my builds till they are done. It basically is a small box just big enough to encase the fan with holes cut on 2 sides for the vent duct to connect through. This box will contain your fan and doesn't need any kind of insulation, just mount it securely in your box. This box then goes inside another larger box, also with holes cut on 2 sides for the vent duct. You will have to run the vent through both boxes and make the connections before you close up the first box. I just used an old towel on the bottom to set the box on and reduce vibration. Then once you seal the smaller box up good with duct tape, spray foam the dead space between boxes to create a vibration and sound absorbing layer. I use MDF (Medium-density fiberboard) and it works really well.

Make sure you double and triple check the connections and fan operation before you spray foam.
That shit is a real pain in the ass to deal with. Ask away with any questions bro, I am more than happy to help out. Peace

My 250w hps system has come in and the misses was allot cooler about it then I thought lol
So I'll set it up tonite and watch them grow!
The stunted small white widow I have will remain in the soil container while the second white widow that is starting to show pistols I think will get transplanted from the small soil container into a hempy setup some time this weekend.

The second skunk I have has turned out to be a male as well so that'll be binned :(
That means I will have two white widows under the 250w HPS. One very small and in soil and one in a hempy bucket. Should be good!
I'll update with pictures tomorrow evening ya'll :)

That's awesome man, I'll see if I can fit something like that in my cab after I have the HPS system installed! :)

Do you have any pics of your cab setup? It would be nice to see the box that houses such beautiful plants :D

It really is a simple 35 x 35 cube made out of MDF. The front 23 inches is the grow spot and the back where my exhaust fan was till I moved it out into the separate box I described earlier. Just tucked into a closet in my basement office/spare bedroom.

The cab with the 250w HPS in a cool tube, adding centrifugal exhaust fan to it once i make up the box

The hempy buckets ill be using next for the two White Widow Fem seeds im currently germing, should pop in the next day or two.

My baby White White thats flowering, only around three inches high haha

The second White Widow which im hoping is a boy is loving the 250w HPS. No signs of sex just yet, not sure if i should be worried or not as im doing 12/12 from seed to get the first grow out of the way to attempt a SCROG next

And a pretty little bud shot of the midget White White :)
