haha yeah still alive, just been having computer problems and its made me massively CBF posting up pictures
either way, no real major growth
the LED looks to be a pile of junk
setting up my 130w CFL and a bunch of smaller CFL's clustered up to make a big screen to shine down on everything :)
im hoping itll work better then the LED i had going. cause the LED only seems strong enough to keep it alive, not promote any new growth past the third leaves :s

hey guys, heres a long over due update!
switched to the 130w CFL due to the failing LED. didnt notice any real growth with it but ive mounted it on the side wall with a single baby White Widow right next to it just to double check that it doesnt work at all.

In this first pic i have my old White Widow from a while ago on the right, its gone through hell from nute burn and loosing most of its first set of leaves to being limp and almost dying to finally being a beautiful green that is flowering.
It has taken about two weeks to bring her back into good shape from the edge of death but im glad i hung in there with her!
She smells beautiful and fruity

Next to the big pot are two other little Skunk #1's that i decided to plant when the first white widow was on the door step of death just in case. they are about two or three weeks old now and havnt shown any signs of sex just yet.

Skunk #1 top view, This one i have called Sk2

And this is the White Widow that briefly saw the light but is now back with us, she doesnt have too many leaves because. She would be a nice bush by now but sevre nute burn made me rip them off leaving her with one set and then she regrew a new set and then started flowering.

I fed the plants yesturday
The White Widow i fed her the full recommended dose of 6ml per litre
The 2 Skunk#1 and my baby White Widow that im testing the LED with i fed them at 3ml per litre.
I feed once weekly, either monday or tuesday.

Looking at buying some Ona Gel to get rid of the smell as i know soon ill be needing it.

Did I read correctly? You are giving your plants 7.0pH water?

Have you considered the possibility that could be a source of some issues? Have you tried 6.0pH instead?
And what is the pH of your nutes when mixed?

Nah I haven't knowingly given them pH 7.0
My test pen was off .4 at that time I was taking the water to 6.7/8 so that put it to 7.2

I now have testing liquid and keep it calibrated every feeding

So right now I'm filling up a big bucket of water and letting it sit for two days, then pH it to 6.5, leave it for a day then add the nutes in right before feeding time and the pH is stable.

Thinking about it now I might give it another day after adding nutes to let it settle

Then no need to worry about pH as it is rarely a problem in soil
You must be lit this morning. lol i ph everything. a nice 5.5-6.5 is what i found to be the best. but 6-6.5 is trully ideal for dirt.its true its not as critical, but i always ph. but i do trust your advice kite. you know more than lots of the jackasses on this site. theres some really shitty advice givers.

but i also move from city to country and all around the country. so its more vital im on top of that shit.
if you are stationary, then you only need to ph every so often. but im super careful about ph. i find its verry important.
ive had a few problems in different places, and for how long it takes.me to ph, i think its worth it. i buy a whole box of ph papers, it will probably last me at least 2-4 years. cost me 100$ it was worth it. even just for peace of mind

On amended soiless the medium takes care of pH and no amount of pH up oor down will make any difference. In soil/ soiless mediums it is so rare for pH to be a problem that I haven't used my Milwaukee pH pen in years. People not in the know always jump on the "it's the pH" bandwagon because they don't know what it is so it must be pH. Now in hydro since there's no buffer yes you need check but in soil soiless it has a buffering medium so the pH of water doesn't effect much.
And if I am awake I am baked. Always.

I find its good practice to ph. you are right tho, many people prematurly blame ph. i just do it cause ive had past issues

That's the only reason I brought it up. I particularly had horrible issues with P and K last year on my tomatoes because I couldn't check the pH and was feeding my plants what turned out to be incorrectly set nutes (based on an old formula of mine when the water supply was already pH 6.3-6.5). Now after getting a new pH pen (and subsequently reviving my ancient Hanna), I see the pH of the water supply is 7.0-7.2 !
So my problems are now self-evident; it was the pH that was causing lock-out (ergo, deficiencies).

But at the same time, I've spoken with more growers on here over the last while who DON'T even know what their pH is--yet still yield great results--that I've gotten used to the fact some people just don't need to worry about these things.
