starting a grow in a country with power cuts.

Ok so where i currently live there are power cuts of around 6-8 hours a day in various intervals.

To combat this i have a UPS backup battery which is basically good to power around 200-300w of cfl's when the mains goes, so basically the plants dont get disturbed.

my main light will be a 600w hps

my question is what is the best way to link up the 600w because i do not want it to blow when the mains comes on and off constantly.

the plants will be in a tent which will be in a temp controlled room (20c)

Are there any other precautions i need to take when the mains goes?

any advice would be great

thanks

da fuck? wtf does the power cut off for 6-8 hrs for? that makes no sense to me at all. How the hell can you keep food from spoiling in a fridge and many many other reasons thats just .... well... unbelievable.

you should hook up a removal truck, and ship yourself off to where the power is at a consumer worthy level.

have you thought about skylights? diesel generator? solar panels connected to car batteries connected to an invertor? theres ways and means, but you shouldnt have to do this!

wtf...Not everyone lives where there is reliable power service..Ever hear of folks living "offgrid"Just because somebody lives where power can be a problem doesn't mean it's safe to grow outside. i live off grid half the year, and still grow indoors.

I Have A Disease.. I'm Allergic To Stupid Shyte

You must be sick all the time from your disease, most smart people know what "off the Grid" means.( even dumb ones)

Have you heard of solar, wind or water power? Have you been living under a rock?

You must be a kid or very uneducated; do you not see this new "green" thing taking off?

You come across as rude and ignorant in almost all of your posts.

Sry…I am just being Honest.

haha, just curious where do you live?. ive never heard of somewhere having power limits?
There are lots of places in this country that don't have powerlines, and people live there. I've got a place where I spend my summers with no pwer so we use solar, wind, and soon hydro.
