"Stand Your Ground" laws, are they a good, or bad idea?

The fundamental freedom to ... meet force with force seems eminently reasonable to me.
but that's not what SYG protects. you can meet force with force without SYG.

how do you start a thread about this and not get this? it's like your failed abortion 'affirmative action' thread all over again.

Once again.... don't know what that means? But if your suggesting honest Americans shouldn't have the right to defend themselves, then either you don't believe in constitutional rights or common sense. The FBI says that there are over 200 millions guns in america....If you can't protect your self with a gun ..then you are Fornicating Under Command of the King ...Thats right FUCKED. No matter what, if the enemy can carry a gun and you can't....well your right that sounds like a fair fight.:wall:
Was this addressed to moi?

Under SYG you can meet force with force in any place where you are legally allowed to be. It is the castle doctrine expanded to any legal place. Also, under SYG (most places) you are immune from prosecution and civil suit, which is not the case under standard self defense claims.

so say i'm in the grocery store and some psycho jumps on me and starts beating me to a bloody pulp while i'm deciding on which box of cheerios i want. you're saying that i can't dispatch him because my state does not have SYG laws?

jesus christ dude, you're silly.

lol, you're trying to tell someone who was a few computer science and economics classes short of a math major with a concentration in probability and statistics what statistics are for. statisticians get the numbers to say whatever we want, plain and simple. but i see you've already declared victory, which is a pretty good sign that anything but that has happened. i have to go deliver some treadmills. try not to masturbate to your own posts in my absence.
Lame "treadmill" cover.

Here in California you can't. You can only meet force with equal force. :dunce: Thank you liberals!

i'm sure that if i look up the law, i will find that you can dispatch someone if your life is in danger. shall i look it up, or do you want to post it?

you sound bitter and grouchy, like you can benefit from some good physical exercise. i have several treadmill models available that can handle an out of shape, 400+ pound, whiney pussy like yourself.

interested?

When Uncklebutt said he was going to deliver some treadmills, he continued to post in other forums every couple of minutes until he posted in this forum. So much for his imaginary "Treadmill Store". He so addicted to trolling, he can't stop even for a few minutes. Unless his wife tells him to. Gotta keep the mealticket happy.

Look up, " Imminent danger self defense site:ca.gov" on google.

In California YOU have to prove BOTH. How do you do that when the other guy is dead and he is your only witness? Doesn't matter if the guy has a knife and was across the room in your house. You need prove yourself innovent, not the prosecution needs to prove you guilty in California. That's why we need SYG laws.

My grandmother told me about a story which happened when she was young in NYC. A woman stabbed her rapist with a nail file in her purse over 100 times while he was raping her. She got life with no parole! Fucking awesome huh? She stabbed him out of malice and not fear of her life. Typical bitch. Glad liberal laws are there to protect rapists from excessive violence too.

it hurts so bad, make it better bad man.
