I think I want to cross over to soilless also. Looking good. My happy frog has gnats everywhere
i just use 30/30/30 coco , turbo peat / promix peat ( what ever lowes has on hand at the time ) and perlite ..... i cheat sometimes and add a handful of 8-8-8 granule fertilizer i use in my garden , i normally do this for my photo's so i dont have to feed through most of veg ........ i add dolomite to every thing i use even the seed starter which is jiffy this time but i normally stock up when the dollar store puts theirs on sale ...... its a small town and i get informed when the garden stuff hits the 50% + off shelf :D and i buy it up ....... whats funny is when the mix starts to break down it oddly looks like soil :bigjoint:

Yeah it seems that I should have added perlite to my fox farm. It's been a week and monly to top has dried up. Next time I will have to come up with a good mix to grow it. I like the 30 /30/30 you have going I just don't want to miss something in my mix and kill my plants

lookin like some pretty little seedlings goin there, do you have any fans blowing on them? stems seem a little weak.
i have a small box fan blowing down on them ........ they stand up on their own im actually pulling them down ....... my seedlings are always lanky ...... i keep the fan on low maybe i should turn it up some ...... they just flop around kinda violently when i turn it up not just this batch all of them in the last couple years :D ive had it a while

thing with soil less is the nutes are really what counts since what youre growing in is basically inert ........... even though i load the mix up with goodies i still have to feed at week 2-3 other wise it would be one def after another
