  • . I am growing a White Shark plant under a 300 watt dual spectrum CFL. I know alot of people say these lights are no good but the plant is growing very well. but it has some burn marks on the bottom leaves, and the bottom leaves only, so it's not from the light being to close as it's about 3-4 inches away from the top. Iv used MG All Purpose at half strenth for the nutes. Could this be nute burn? Or maybe PH is to high or to low or something else lol. I also have some Big Bud nutes for flowering from Advance Nutrients I want to know when I should start to use them.

so in the first pic the plant is 3 weeks old and is growing very nice. the next 2 pics are 4 weeks and the leaves are dying any 1 know why and how i can fix it?

So 1 day since I flushed the plant and I'm happy to say no more yellow leaves :D

I will take another pic and upload it Monday so you can see how it's getting on.

This Monday will be the start of week 5 of veg. Does any1 know how much longer I should veg for? Also when should I start to use my bid bud nutes?

You really shouldn't even flush...just give the plant only water til it looks better...then give it just water for 2 more cycles..by this time the bottom leaves should start looking a little mottled with yellow as they should be starting to need some added nitrogen...but you shouldn't feed them again until they recover and need more...don't flush...it only makes over fert worse...just water with water when the pot is super light.

Ok...so I should have read further to see that you did take the advice to flush, and it did indeed make the plant worse...do not flush again...leave the plant to dry totally and then water with just water until the plant looks healthy again...and it will, as long as you stop giving it nutes, until it shows some signs that it needs some food.

it is not any sort of deficiency...this is a lockout of other elements caused by too much N, followed by too much water...and as far as I can tell MG is crap for MJ...so...you might want to look into something that is a little easier to use...by that I mean that a tiny bit of MG goes a long way..as you now know...

Once the plant is not being burned alive you should think about using organic nutes and amendments til you get the hang of things....I used to chronically over fertilize everything til I started using some organic amendments...It gave me a better understanding of how the nutes work with the soil and plant...makes it easier to use chem ferts later on...now I have no issue...
