Soldering COB's, soldering iron wattage?

Perhaps a silly question but i'm no electrician, and everyone at asscity seems to be too busy answering questions on how to thaw frozen piss for drug tests...

A buddy of me borrowed me a nice looking 48watt soldering station, and i also have a +- 100w iron around here somewhere too, which would you recommend? It's for CXB3590's. (Don't have COB holders)

Soldering will be the final step before i can test my setup so i don't wan to make any mistakes... Thanks guys!

If you're just borrowing it, either of those should do, although you probably would have to turn the power down on the 100W.

If you're buying a soldering station and want a good one, get something temperature controlled.

Thanks, had to figure it out myself but i got it done. The 48w one was fully adjustable temp wise and the 100w was a cheaper fixed power model. Had to crank up the heat on the 48w pretty good but i got it done and everything seems to work just fine :) I've had them burning for hours and the temp of the entire fixture stays below 80deg, got two dead-silent 120mm Antech case fan's keeping it all cool.
