Everything looks great!
I've been getting my garden plants ready, too.
Wow, I didn't know you had dank genetics for vegetables, too.
Lol. Goin full hype train on my cucumbers.

All joking aside, I'm so glad I found out about parthenocarpic cucumbers...with the summer heat, pollination and fruit set are problematic, with these plants I have no need to worry. All killer, no filler. :blsmoke:

I've never grown cucumbers, can I keep them in grow bags outdoors? I imagine they would need some sort of trellis to run along

You can do grow bags, pots, in ground...they're pretty versatile. Trellising is good because cucumbers are natural climbers, but they can just as easily be left to vine out on the ground...I would recommend trellising though.

That's great to know man
Going to try to get my hands on some of those seeds you mentioned. I was looking for them on Amazon

Check out https://www.johnnyseeds.com. If you do a search on their website for "parthenocarpic", it'll pop up a bunch of results. From what I've grown, I'd recommend the Harmonie f1 and the Adam Gherkin. They have several varieties of Asian style cukes and slicers also. I'd definitely recommend spending the few extra dollars with Johnny's, it's worth it.

Good luck, whatever you go with. Cucumbers are rewarding the grow due to how fast they are...I'll be picking cucumbers inside of 4-6 weeks from now.

Awesome :hump: I love cucumbers myself, definitely going yo check that website out. Thanks . I've already started 3 different strains of tomatoes in my tent :bigjoint:
You're welcome. I think Johnny's is great, huge variety of everything and some very interesting f1 hybrids they develop in-house.

Very nice. What varieties of tomatoes do you have going? I haven't started any this year, I may just go pick up some plants from the nursery. Last year I grew Black Krim tomatoes, and they were amazing.

This will be my first time growing tomatoes, so will see how it goes. I picked up some seeds from a local place, figure it would be cheaper

Right on. Tomatoes are pretty easy. The main thing with tomatoes is that they're heavy feeders and don't like to be over-watered, aside from that, they'll pretty much grow themselves. For more manageable plants, I'd suggest reading up on suckering, basically you're pulling the side shoots that grow at each node to restrict lateral growth and bushiness. Hard to go wrong with tomatoes though, store bought can't compare to home grown.

It has been a week since I transplanted the girls into party cups. They're growing into their new shoes nicely, I'm already seeing roots coming out of the cups. Overall I'm pleased with how they've come back from the brink, just goes to show you can't kill a weed that easily.

Cucumbers are doing well at 6 days since planting. Thinned them down to one per cell 2 days ago.

And the melons are coming up.

My peppers are coming along, but they move a bit slower, so nothing to show yet.

That's all for now. Eventually I'll settle into a more regular update routine as things start going.

I'm jealous of your vegetables. I got tied up doing other things and forgot until you started posting yours. Mine are just now breaking soil. :(
On your side everything is looking great! You thought I had a lot going on...can't wait to see everything take off on trellises.

Thanks, I can't wait to see everything get going. Last year was my first try at trellising cucumbers, and after that I won't go back...it's just so easy.

If everything goes to plan, this should be the easiest garden I've done yet. I just have to get my pumps and drip system set up on timers and I should only have to worry about keeping the reservoir full and picking fruits.

Hows everything going joe?
Going good. I'll post some pics later when the light comes on. I had to spread my seedlings out, they're starting to put on some growth. I think I went a bit overboard with 13 plants in a 2x2...that isn't going to work for much longer. :eyesmoke:

Dang 13? Are you running a SOG? Nice variety of medication though for sure. I have two in my 2x2. Check your PM

I'm using the 2x2 to get them going and later for clones. The plan is to veg them for a while in the 2x2, long enough to take clones basically...I'd like to get 3 good clones of each plant. Then the seed plants will go outside while I figure out what to do with them...in all likelihood the seed plants will either be chopped or given away. At that point, it'll be all clones...one clone of each plant will go outdoors sometime in mid-late June to keep the size down, and I'll set up the 2x4 to do indoor flowering. I'd like to compare indoor to outdoor and determine my keepers from there. It's ambitious for me considering I've never done half the stuff I have planned, but we'll see how it goes.

Ohhh I see I see. I forgot you grew outdoor and your run of the honest genetics was you first indoor. How is that medication treating you by the way? This will be cool to see the comparison and keepers from indoor and outdoor. You got the skill set so I see you not having any problems man! Nice to hear from you!

You're too generous, I barely have much of a skill set. I've made improvements, but I've got a lot to learn still. Doing an indoor grow was a real eye opener for me and really showed me where I'm at...outdoor is so much easier in comparison.

I haven't tried the Honest flower yet. I did get some feedback from my mom, and she liked it...which is good, the whole reason I started growing was to supply her. I don't smoke often, but I do want to try it now that I've had a good month of cure time

How do you deal with all the things that like to eat our plants and all the other elements? I tried outdoors last year first time, single fem seed. Topped for 4 mains, still rotted . Made me chop 2 weekish early so wasn't as good as it would have been. For that reason, I'm doing autos this summer. They're already in cups to get a headstart
One other thing I had a problem with was the watering schedule. Raining too often keeps the medium wet too long..

I live in southern California, right on the edge of the desert. We pretty much don't get rain between May and October, the odd thunderstorm during monsoon season, but overall it's very dry here so rot isn't a concern.

The big issue I deal with is caterpillars during flowering...they burrow into the buds, eat and shit causing them to die and rot...that can easily ruin an entire grow. I haven't had a great solution to that, BT spray works, but you need the caterpillars to be there in the first place. This year, I'm going to grow in a greenhouse that's fully enclosed in a shade cloth mesh, that should keep the moths away. As for other bugs, I don't really have an issue...I haven't seen mites at all, aphids are a non-issue and whiteflies are a small annoyance...if I have an issue, I use insecticidal soap.

To clarify my earlier statement, outdoors is much easier for me, in my climate.
