I got my clones on the go now and I'm using Technoflora cloning gel. I heard the powder has a higher success rate? Hopefully I get 100% using this gel, as I want the same number I have now. (and did one clipping off each). I'm using rockwool; would you say I should start seeing roots in a week?

I have never used Rockwool but yes the average time for roots is about a week. I also only use cloning gel so I don't have any experience with the powder. Good luck.

a little longer im guessing. most strains start rooting in about 1.5 weeks. rockwool in my opinion isnt the best for cloning but works well for those who get used to using it often. i would have taken a few cuttings from all the plants just in case. some may not live or be too far gone once they root to be saved. having a few cuts of each is nice so u have a pretty good chance of keeping the strains going that u have becuz remember. sometimes shit just happens and things die or get nasty pests or disease. if both cuts survive just kill the unhealthier looking one off or put it straight into flower if u have that option. wont be a lot of smoke but it will be a nice experiment. also make sure all ur clones root before flowering ur moms.

Never scrogged b4, but I am trying to make use of my extra lights and ballasts. I was thinking about some hempys in a wooden grow box in the garage. I just dont know how the cold will affect them.u could scrog a plant in that space.
I was thinking like3x3 cubes with 400w each. They wont cost much to run since heat wont be an issue for sure, but then humidity might...

humidity sucks. i turn my exhaust fans off at lights out so my box doesnt suck in the cold moist night air. how cold we talkin here? cuz my shit mid winter is about 55 degrees inside the box or so.and yes 3x3 cubes would be nice. 2 400 would be perfect.

idk this is the garage, and my 1st winter here. My old place was a mobile home 1 mile away and it would get about 55 inside without heat. I will guess about the same here.

yeah u should be good. if worst comes to worst u could always put a little space heater out there in the middle of the night on a timer.

Yeah I have a few of them, but they are 1500watts lol. My girl pays the elec bill and she hates the way the bill looks when I am growing.

i have one of those radiant space heaters and used it a bunch in my garage when i was only using 1 light in there. it would get to low 50's without it but i did away with the heater almos a year ago and added 2x600's in its place and im sooo much happier with the extra light... lol and evens out my temps still. lol rockin
i was running min lik all winter like WTF is my bill sooooo much higher for... and looked at the wattage adn coughed up a nut.

Yup, definately use mother nature to your advantage. I'm also exhausting out my attic, and have a speed controller with the inline fan (a must have!) This keeps my heater from ever kicking in, and I'm not exhausting too much of my precious heat. Also, I have to cover the hole up to the attic and all around my 6 inch exhaust line or else the negative pressure in the room will actually pull cold air from the attic, into the room, causing the heaters to kick on, then being exhausted out the line and out through the roof again - a real waste! The speed controller and making sure there's no cold air leaks from the attic has saved my heaters from ever turning on. I just turn the speed controller down when I know it's going to be cold outside that night. I also work with the weather outside when it comes to my light schedule, but sometimes this conflicts with having the lights off for when somebody unexpected might stop by the house. So, it's all a balance 
Edit: I've also been working on my automated controller; I'm going to tie the speed controller into the mix too and have it auto adjust. I may get a temp probe for outside too and base the characteristics of the automation (to due with temp) based on the outside temp as well.

oof course.. thats all i run... flower from 7pm to 7am with my 2200 watts and vegging with 1400 now from 6pm thru 12 pm (1000 watt closet and 400 watt tent), it was 800 (2x400 watters) but i had to tear down the other 400 watt setup that i was vegging in at my bros apt, cause he keeps having inspections from managment we think the suspec something so its done there for awhile so i setup my extra 1000 in my closet at home and have my mothers under it and 7 plnts in 5 gallon buckets vegging
so total running right now i have 2x1000 watters and 2x600 and a 400 aaaay i dont wanna see the bill next month... :

My tent in the house vents back into the house and blows over the ballast right now to keep the house warm,as you said..no waste.
