The RPi came in and now I can go about getting official list of stuff. I am still getting acclimated to this whole Arduino thing. In ordering stuff I went by the SourceForge Environment Controller parts list- Components: "MEGA 2560, SSD-1963 Touchscreen, MEGA Compatible Ethernet Shield", etc. I am glad that this is still a work in progress and you are finding the best way(s) to put this together. I have a raspberry pi on the way. So will the touchscreen not be needed as settings will be done on the RPi?

I just ordered my mega and ethernet shield. Could you message me a link to the touchscreen and the shield you are using? I looked through the arduino post and couldn't get a sense of where to buy them. I am new to arduino but have done a fair bit of programming, Actually I had a TINI setup in 2005 that controlled lights fans co2 etc with 1wire. There was a web interface via JAVA. There were some heavy duty switches on the lights and when i get home in NOV i will dig them out and let you know what they are.

Any help getting the right screen and shield would be appreciated.
