Without going into detail, I have good reason to believe that a proper grow report will be forthcoming.
Note that with any S1 seed created from a hybrid, you should expect different phenos.
So you can't necessarily expect that a plant grow out of this pack will be exactly like the clone only line.
Green crack is supposedly a Skunk/indica hybrid, so S1 seeds could potentially throw off more sativa/skunk or indica type phenos.
Hank, could you tell us a bit more about your S1 Green Crack? Are you sure its a self-pollenized ceed?
Have you grown out the clone only plant, and is your S1 plant similar to that?
Any comments as to size of plant, leaves, stretchiness, etc?
Sure.
Yep. I am sure. I've been a fan of the GC. I know her well. The cut gets grown in this area a bit. She holds pretty much identical features to this plant i hold... the only difference is that the cut produces smaller, tighter nugs and has more of a sweet/fruit smell. More cheeselike calyx.
The seeds were picked out of a couple quantities (1.5p?). If I remember, it was about 7 seeds over 1.5p.. Planted 5. All females. I had purchased this smoke before (from same grower) and it never held seeds. However, these seeds came from a crop that was during a record drought/heat summer that the area had not seen in nearly 80 years... I'm thinking the room was hot and dry, and managed to force this stable clone to throw out just a few male flowers and produce just a handful of seeds over a very large crop.
There
was some variety... I narrowed it down to two plants... one was DEAD ON green crack. The bud structure and calyx shape, dead on. However, I ended up selecting one that was a tiny bit more skunk leaning, for the yield. Still, this one is very much like the green crack clone. But with larger buds and a little bit lower odor, which i prefer. (less sweet/fruit). As far as high goes, dead on.
I have grown quite a bit of this plant. She is damn wonderful. She demands root space. If you short her on root space she will produce half the weight. She branches
perfectly. The leaves are pretty sativa leaning. Flowered at 11 inches she ended up 32 inches tall. She grows wide. If I would have given her more room she would be wider. She requires a tomato cage... The branches topple under the heavy SKunk buds.
Honestly, I wouldn't trade in this plant for the real cut. If I REALLY wanted the cut, I could go buy it from a local source. I'm convinced this S1 is better. It does everything the GC buds do for me, but higher yielding. Those little tight GC buds are cute though... kinda cheese like calyx... this plant is less that, more skunk buds/calyx.
I am not a commercial farmer... but I would call this plant a commercial extraordinaire.
I'll put up some dry shots later. These skunk buds consolidate after a dry. She looks more like those GC buds after losing some surface area and tightening up.
