i have been researching shooting powder but just cant afford the name brand stuff...went to my local mom and pop garden store and found some bulk nutes they sell by the pound...bought a pound on super phosphate...0-45-0... for 1.49/pound...and some potassium sulfate...0-0-50... 1.43/pound......all my plants are directly in the ground so i added a 1/4 cup of each to the soil and then soaked em down....within days my plants that were in veg mode started showing signs of preflower...one week later ive got crowns all over the place...smell has increased and plants are greener and healthy...no signs of burn at all....hair production is doubling everyday....did i just make homemade shooting powder from those bulk nutes? should i use more at the beginning of august to try to induce another flower cycle? any and all advice given will be appreciated...THANX

ive never heard the term shooting powder. But i assume you are referring to bloom inducing nutrients. Which in that case i would say you just found flowering nutrients. A source of phos and potash. Be careful with using the potassium sulfate though. Sulfates will break down into sulphuric acid and may lower your ph into unwanted levels. You also are only providing 2 elements when really the plant requires more than that. View attachment 1701879PH_CHART 2.jpg
