You're in a 3 gal pot and you are are giving them 2 cups of water + salt nutrient?
Your plant is growing at optimum and wanting more of everything in its life, especially water. You are simply beginning to build up salts on the roots. (coats your roots and basically doesn't allow those to function properly)
You've been treating a "symptom", not the "cause".
Here's where the problem arises, has it went far enough to cause long term root damage? Which could create an "under par" end product.
Yous is not in my opinion.
Now go and search and you will find the answers you are looking for. lol
I'm not sure what growing medium you are in, but you want really good drainage. I use the Hydro clay pellets and course Perlite in Pro Mix and compost, etc.
I can't give you all the answers, but I can point you in a direction to follow.
It's up to you now to go and look this shit up on your own. You will understand how complicated this can get when you don't understand what the plant is trying to tell you.
Then there is the amount of experience a grower has at diagnosing the problem quickly or basically knowing how to prevent it all together.
Knowledge is key.
