Here is the short story... Lemon Skunk needed to come down :bigjoint:
She was at what i consider to be peak ripeness, hairs had all but a few gone brown, trichomes were beginning to show amber at all large budsites, aroma was just right. I didn't want to miss this window, so i took her down and trimmed the main fan leaves, left most of the medium-smaller leaves. Once she shows some signs of drying, minor wilting, i'm going to give her a full on manicure.

The kids, got moved up to 1 gallon pots today, and they are happy to have the tent and the HPS all to themselves  I lowered the lamp a few inches and finally set the girls on the floor, without risers. ( you can't imagine the relief of not having to do a balancing act cramming all 3 girls in there)

Watered them in thoroughly with just a drop of SuperThrive (it works for all my non-cannabis transplants) Planning to lay off the SuperThrive after this, I've done some reading lately about SuperThrive during flower and most sources say its a no-no something about the hormones in ST lead to spacing between the nodes.

The new pots serve two purposes..
1- More space for roots=heavier flowers up top
2- Going out of town for the weekend, and I need them to hold their water (planning on picking up some of those water globes you see all the time at Walgreens)

The aqua globes combined with more soil to hold more water, leads me to believe I won't run into the disaster I had last time I left the girls unattended. I also learned my lesson, leave the door open and raise the lights an inch or two. My daily checks help regulate the temps (not much maybe 2 or 3 degrees during lights on) 2-3 days without that little breath of fresh air combined with low water leads to plant stress. just read back a few pages and see the GWS that came down early because of this.

i'll shut up now. enjoy the photos!

on that note, i smoked some scissor hash with my girl. this is what cannabis should be :bigjoint:
smooth, clear high. had my girl and i drawing and chatting. very good social/creative smoke.
none of the anxious couchlock i've been having lately.
i look forward to trying some of the cured buds!!

as far as her not being a big yielder. i'm inclined to agree. i hope to do better this time around with her. won't cause her quite as much stress, control the environment better, better feeding schedule blah blah :dunce: all the dialing in you do on a first run. its MORE than enough for me and the girly. we're both two puffs and done smokers. should last a good while :)

So... I am guessing you do not smoke everyday or maybe ONLY once a day? I know...lol... strange question. It is just that after growing for almost 3 yrs now me and my sig other habit has kinda got outta control. So.... We are on a several month break (90day minimum). Before growing we would smoke an 1/8th every week... now its more like a 1/2 zip a week

holy shit!! yeah our habit has cut down significantly. we used to smoke ALL the time. then once i started growing we stopped buying as often, until we eventually just stopped buying. then when i harvest we have guaranteed potent buds and our poor little virgin lungs can't handle it lol.

as far as anxious and couchlock, i get uncomfortable. couchlock isn't the feeling i'm after, so when it hits me i have trouble i guess "giving in" its fine when i'm by myself, but when its me and the girl, eh... not the greatest feeling. like i said, i enjoy being social when i smoke.

I totally understand. I like to actually do things in life and it started to feel like both of us were just doing everything high. We decided to take control over our selves and really the only way is an extended break. Its ok though, I will have a massive stockpile after this next one..LOL Then I can take a bit of a break from growing too. Not a permanent one, but maybe several months. I find I still really like the hobby even without getting high all day. Growing my own has saved me thousands of dollars. :)

I too like social weed... But at night before bed I always want couch-lock. The hardest part of quitting for a bit is the night time. Chronic back pain sucks sometimes.. LOL

exactly! the GWS i harvested is my nighttime smoke. i have chronic headaches (i call them that, not diagnosed) night after night headaches. i'm sure taking tylenol, ibuprofen, advil... blah blah night after night isn't the best. so, a little couchlock smoke to put me to sleep, and i wake up without a headache.

thats why i wanted the "social smoke" out of the lemon skunk. i had my medicine, i needed my "poison" if that makes sense.
