Seems like every time I get new set of leaves the old ones die.

Yeah I was interested in that but like I said before I just kinda winged it and went with a generic soil.

The brand soil I used was Jiffy natural and organic seed starting mix with some miricle grow perlite.
TONOTE: the seedling started in a mg soil and moved over about a week or two in.

When I started this grow it was inteded to be as cost efficient as I could possibly keep her. wanted to actually do free. But I ran across some money and decided to invest a little.
BINGO The problem is the M-Grow perlite......They put nutrients in that stuff,,,,,
Now that we know that.....DO NOT FLUSH,,it will only release MORE MG nutes into the soil!!!!

MG = not for cannabis

Sparty,,,I thought you knew better then that!

The pH of the run off is just that, the pH of the run off.......NOT the pH of your soil!!!!

Soil self pH's...When you water the pH of the soil swings UP and as it dries back out it swings DOWN.....To get a REAL soil pH you should get a soil testing kit.....but why? If you start with good amended soil and care for it (as opposed to take care of the plant) the soil will care for your plant!.......Unless your soil is bad.....(WHAT IS IT?)....it will not be to hard to fix this up.......

Again,,,what soil did you start with?

FLUSH???? WTF for? He sure doesn't have a salt build up!!!! A flush will do more harm then good in organic...be nice to your Myco's.....simply water with straight water....

Add some sort of zyme.......You want to inoculate the soil with some nice fresh alive bio's.

What soil is the real question....

Unless your familiar with growing broke, you'll get what you put in, haha. Remember, Alaska is every 3 WEEKS. 1 TBSP for 1 cu. ft. That's roughly a 7.5 gallon container. So if you have her in a 1 or 3 gallon? You'll need way less.

Look for Potter's Gold (Blue and gold label)or Dr. Earth's potting mix (black and white label) next time.....good for starting and 30 days of nothing but water for the first 2 transplants......Best place to look is your local grow shop..
A GOOD gardening store (non - canna) can order that for you too.

I found that out the hard way. I have her in a 3 gallon right now and what I have been doing is putting a tablespoon in a gallon of water but not using the whole gallon of water to feed. If there is a better way I could be doing this please let me know!

I don't think it's his perlite. While there is NPK it's like .75. 0-0-0

There's your answer. You over fed. Yeah use a half a teaspoon and feed the whole gallon. But for the next few weeks, just give her water.

I mean, anywhere from 6.0-7.0 is safe. Optimal is the 6.5 range depending on the plant. To be honest though, I never have PH problems because I water with rain and well water. When I set up my gardens I did Ph testing and everything was in the 6.5 to 7.0 rang so, unless I specifically have a prob I think is being caused by PH, I don't stress it.
Nope, I tested the soil when I started, and PH is a problem I don't have =)

Okay. It seemed like a gallon was kinda excessive on water I didnt wanna drown her.

M-Grow perlite now is treated with nutrients!!!!!! Any perlite besides M-G will be ok!
No shit man,,,,,an old time grow friend just brought some over to show me....Sure as hell those assholes at "Scott's" are adding nutrients to their M-G line of perlite.

Again, that plant is small and had some issues so, doesn't need a whole lot. A gallon may be excessive for that plant, at that size because she can't drink it fast enough. For now, just leave it be. Unfortunately when we talk, we're referring to schedules that fit healthy plants. Best you can do is leave it a lone and give it fresh water when it needs it... if and when you feed again, use less the recommended. 1/2 tspn - tspn/gallon.

Wow that sucks. I don't use anything MG except perlite. Now they lost me on that, too haha.
