Seedling roots drying out

So I finally have my first little seedling in a 4" rockwool cube, she's about 10 days old (I think I stunted her growth early by keeping the rockwool too wet), and shes has just started her 3rd set of serrated leaves.

All in all she looks moderately healthy, however I've noticed that the few root tips poking out the bottom all appear to be drying and shrivelling and turning brown... I pick up the cube to turn her round (there's a little computer fan on her so I rotate her to get a breeze on all sides of the stem) and water her, so the roots get a little squished, is this the problem? In photos roots look a lot more robust, and my RH is at 40% so although it's low I wouldn't think it's enough to dry the roots?

I use pH'd water at 5.5-6 and the temperature is about 22-25°C during the day and a minimum of 13°C at night... using a 400W MH at about 2 ft from the rockwool

Here are the roots a few days ago, you can see that the very tips are already losing their moisture..

And here are the same roots today...

And here is the gal herself, she starting to look a bit droopy but otherwise happy (I think!)

So is there anything I should do differently or just stop man-handling her?.. :P any advice is greatly apprecited!!

Get her into medium of some kind, soil les mix or hydro your choice lol. and a light baby food mix wouldn't hurt it any. MD
