“Officer Tensing stated that he was attempting a traffic stop ... when at some point, he began to be dragged by a male black driver. ... Officer Tensing stated that he was almost run over by the driver, and was forced to shoot the driver with his duty weapon. ... Officer Tensing repeated that he was dragged by the vehicle and had to fire his weapon.”

But that’s not precisely what we see on the body camera video. Officer Tensing can be heard questioning DuBose about his license, while DuBose insists that it’s not suspended, but he doesn’t have it with him. They go back and forth on this point for a few moments, until Tensing orders DuBose to take off his seatbelt. DuBose puts one hand on the car window and the other on the key in the ignition. Seconds later, Tensing takes his gun out and shoots DuBose—who is now holding both hands up—once in the head.

The police officer is being charged with murder. Kind of a strange thing to do to an officer if there wasn't evidence to support it.

Finally, @Uncle Ben, I don't know how anybody could rejoice in the fact that children are now without their father. You have an ugly way about you.

This is the way I look at Uncle Buck. It takes all kinds it make a site interesting. I grant you that Bucky boy is a little abrasive, hostile,,obnoxious for instance, but that is needed for a truly honest site. Think of it this way (if you can)

Racist diatribe? What was it that was racist about my post? As far as the bottle is concerned, I didn't know that, or if that is even true that it was unopened, but the stupid fuck has it on his seat, out of the bag. Dumb move.

All I can see in that body cam was someone that fucked with that cop for 3 minutes, tried to speed away (notice what happened 1st, gun shot or acceleration of the car) The cop was polite, the driver wasn't and got fucked by an idiot cop. Both were wrong, and the sad part was that guy got killed.

He didn't try to speed away. All speed was after being shot in the head after he put his hands up

That's one conflicted statement. On the one hand you say that shootings of black men by police is justified -- do I understand you to say 99% of the time?

Then you go on about the status of blacks in the US being as 2nd class citizens, the resultant inequity and how it has affected your life. I'm with you there but given your support for the shootings of black men, it seems conflicted to me.

I like the steam of conscious style and the way your statement is put together but I'm confused. You are saying that dBose drove off and put the officer's life at risk. The video recording shows otherwise. The film pretty clearly shows that the man was shot before the car started moving. duBose acted rashly but I don't see a capital offense anywhere. Do you still think the shooting was justified?
