if your growing a auto flower strain with will show sex at 18/6 any veg cycle for that matter if u growing a regular strain u need to do 12/12 to induce flowering and it will show it's sex or u can take a cutting flower the clone and keep the plant u took the clone from in veg.. and youll know that way to without having to flower your main plant

that is somewhat true but plants can show preflowers even in a 18 / 6 light cycle. im not sure what causes this because i have only seen it happen in a few of my plants it might be stress because it was right after i topped them that i saw a few pistols and nice sexy white hairs ( all were seeds from nirvana shop so it wasn't anything auto flowering ) so yes a plant can show its sex in 18 / 6 but not always

im trying to keep them small so would 18/6 for about 3 weeks be good than just switch it to 12/12 2700k its a mid plant nothing good untill i get good but do preflowers usaly show with the 6500k lights when its mature enough or do they tend to show up after the lights are switched out and 12?12 2700k

when the plant gets old enough it will show sex usually takes like 8 or more weeks and by that time the plant will get too big to grow indoors. thats why most ppl force flowering to show sex once you switch to 12 12 if you give a flush and feed with bloom you should show in 2-20 days and thats when flowering starts

veg until its 1\3 of the hight you want it to finish at it will grow at least that much during flowering, then 12\12
just cause the seed came from mids dnt mean it wont be dank if grown proper, thers always a chance it will suck but some of the best bud ive smoked came from shit seed

so at about a 1/3 hight i give it 12 hrs dark than start the 12/12 2700k lighting

just put it on 12/12 for a couple weeks till u can sex it then immediately put it back in veg

im just gunna wait till it has about 5 nodes and than force it 2 flower

your plant will show pre flowers eventualy but if you want to know now switch it to 12 hours on 12 hours off and it will start to flower in a few days. i have no idea what you mean by does it need 12 hours of dark befor you switch it to 12 12. when you switch it to 12 12 it will be getting 12 hours of dark ir dosn't matter how much dark it has befor the 12 12 cycle because it takes days to even revert to flowering from vegging and after a few days it will already have 12 hours of dark every night

if you want to keep flowering just keep up that light cycle if you want to kill the males and make your females bigger switch the light cycle back to 18 / 6

as far as what lights to use it sounds like your using Cfls and are trying to decide which ones to use when. i dont have any experience here because i use HPS and T5 flouresents but to be honest Plants love light so i would use all you have durring flowering as long as the heat dosn't get out of control. also since your using cfls dont let it get to tall vegging because you wont have enough light to utalise the huge plant and all the growths a plant will usualy double in size so 1 foot vegg = 2 foot flowered it can ever go as far as trippling in size so take that into acount when deciding

after a month, matured plants will sometimes show pistil hairs and pollen sacs. Pollen sacs are garbage, pistil hairs are most likely female, possibly hermi. The only way to tell for sure, is obviously flowering. Throw out any plant with a sac. When a plant is done veging, pistils will form at all bud sites, telling you it should have been flowered already. Pistils turn red when matured, just like on nuggets.

to add to your cloning Q:, two ways, take clippings and flower them, or take clippings and flower the mother. The ladder is preference, because you can keep the most potent one after harvest to keep for future clippings

i said that to him first on the second post but muthafuckas dont read

when second set of leaves come in do first set tend 2 droop ?? my first day of 12/12 i may have over watered but it was the same amount as last time so i doubt it just the 2 main fan leaves are droopin the new groth is still erect and doin fine no color changes

how often do u water your plants?

na i havent watered it in like 5 days lol i just gave it a lil drip cap full of water 4 the top layer but i forgot it droops when u water it a lil lol i over reacted lol

how tall is your plant now

its just about the same hight about inch and a 1/4 its gettin its second set of fan leaves in they should fan out by morning or so its doin very well its gettin 3.5k lumens now not very much but i have 6.2k in lumens 4 flowering so it should do quite well when it gets thier

so it's what 2 weeks old now?

6 days 3 hours scince it sprouted i wish i was 2 weeks lol
