I got a dabpress and it's a great unit.
I dont have a single complaint about the unit itself but I found I dont like the process.

Basically I find the perfect temp to make great color and texture, but my complaint is that parchment paper is way too easy to over squeeze and burst. I never had a issue with the filter bags blowing out.

Yields and tine investment was just kinda disappointing... trim cannot be pressed.

Little differance between primo bud and lower bud yield or color.

Anyways, the dabpress is a great unit, driptech on it works an all that, heats up fast an if you put it at a temp it will be consistent

What kind of yields were you getting? If I can get 6-7 grams a zip it would be worth it.

I was getting around 3.5 a zip or less. That's 1.5 of golden and 1.5 of dark.

There was clearly a lot left trapped in the pucks but it couldnt be squeezed out without bursting the parchment paper. Multiple layers of the paper were a must because a single layer would burst super easily while 2 holds up 5x better without eaither breaking.

If you get someone to eat a puck though it's funny they get stupidly high because the thc is all decarbed and fully active.

I squished around 6 oz before I stopped wasting my bud. All in all I lost a lot of money both in the unit and the destroyed bud. I kept hoping there would be an easy fix but I was already using the best parchment that everyone online claims works better than others.

I even did slow squishes where it would take up to 5 min to slowly ramp up pressure, helps some for sure but still not enough.

I can see it def being worth it on a large press to turn outdoor into oil but for me it's a waste

You think all those people on youtube are just full of shit when they claim 25% yields? If that's the case I may just go the ice hash route and get bubble bags and one of those $50 portable clothes washers to do all the agitation and separation of trichomes. At least then I can freeze buds as I harvest and not worry about drying and curing the whole harvest.

I love hash, but it fell out of popularity with people favoring dabs.

No I dont think they are full of shit but I think they are the minority. I think they found a strain it works very well with after a lot of trial and error, or simply got lucky early. Some of them may be in a situation that the bud isnt very favorable vs the oil, such as a large outdoor harvest. If I had 20 lbs of outdoor in a place I couldnt give it away sure fuck it turn it to oil, if I ran 10 strains I'm sure one or 2 would be great for the process.

I just know I put my best stuff into it, stuff that's extremely popular, and very strong and I got almost nothing back.

I've actually gotten much more from trim doing bho oz for oz if that's saying anything at all

I was thinking of getting a large press I could make mobile for turning my client's trim into rosin. I suggested it to one of my clients and he told me it would be a bad idea, he thought people would be unhappy with what little came out. Never using a press before, I took his word for it. Your story seems to support his.

Now I'm even more confused lol, people on different threads are saying similar about bubble/ice hash.. Some say 10% returns, some say 20-30%. Either way hate to waste money for something if it's not worth it. other then the popcorn nugs my buds are looking pretty and are nice and dense. Would hate to waste money for more disappointments.... Might as well find a depressed hooker that cries while blowing me.

I love how they tried saying that their summer time rate of use is a way you can save money. When all they did was raise prices during the summer and tell people to get the fuck outside if they wanted to save money.

Fuck man, do I get the press or not? Do I get the bubble bags for a garbage can and a portable washing machine? Or screw concentrates?
