snap and Patrick ive tried to explain this to as few other ppl the root aphids can almost all times loose those stove pipes when they grow wings! also the orthene 97 u just bought is some nasty stuff but it will nuke them!!!! Ur gunna wanna soil drench and spray plants with it!please remember though that it is some nasty stuff( even though is was actually approved and is used on tobacco and alot of commercial grow ops)!its a acephate!!!! the problem is that almost in ever case you are never able to get all of these little dudes the merit 75 is a imidalacloprid, same thing as bayer advanced tree and shrud! Studies have been done and have found even at 22% imadalacloprid works in some cases but within 24-48 hours after treatment they were back!!! Acephate will kill them on contact! so what your gunna wanna do is the Acephate first! (remember its nasty so make sure u flush that shit! then u can use the imidalacloprid! instead of the imidalacloprid i chose to use botaniguard.. it is a fungus that attacks the root aphid, and will not effect ur plants and can be even used up till the day of harvest! this is kinda pricey as i paid 100$ for a pound but i used it at a rate of a pint/100 gallons.. like i said i shut down after the last harvest to fully clean and bleach everything! if u can successfully kill these things and continue operational and not spend hundreds of dollars on chemicals to keep up with them please let me know!!!and best of luck brother!!! these are nasty pest!!!

If they are aphids you will have little black bugs flying around. Add some SM 90 to the resovoir and foilar spray 5-1. Get a yellow sticky strip to get rid of the adults. Cut them into small strips. staple them to popsikle sticks, stick them in pop cans with sand.

magellan i dont know if uve ever experienced root aphids but there a nasty/ crop destroying pest! they are very hard to kill and even harder to fully eradicate! yes sm 90 will work! if u got a few!!! but not once u have a full infestation!! they will laugh at u when pooring this on them! ive even doubled the sm 90 dose with these basturds, also ive used sm 90 on a spider mite infestation, knocked em down for 12 hour then rite back! root aphids are a hard shelled aphid there not like the other normal foliar leave eating demons that are soft bodied .. if u want a full organic way to killing them botaniguard wp / botaniguard es is the best way to go! its a fungus that attacks the aphid!!

another way to get rid of the adults flying around, I grab a clear glass, filll it with sprite and dish soap and a hint of sugar, check it after a few days and you'll have an ass ton, most sink to the bottom of the cup

LOL OK! What I got going on so far is I layed in a cup of diat. earth into the top 3 inches of soil per plant. Left them a few days while the soil got bone dry. then go some concentrated pyrmethin made 40 gallons in a rubber made and dunked the whole damn pot in and held under for 35 sec then let it drain out into a empty rubber made tub. I have some that bayer imidiclorpid to use on my veggers after i get thru this flower cycle, but at week 5 now its to late to use it on them.
