Fuck my life.

Week 6 of veg, I pulled a couple pots and found a few friends, root aphids. I only found a few in 3 different pots. But where there is one there is many. The root system looks healthy. I'm in a soilless medium. I've done some research and all I can find that's not fucking around is some stuff called "intercept 60 wp" . I can't find where to buy this stuff can someone please point me in the right direction or suggest something that will fuck these things up like avid and floramite does to spider mites please?

hmmm it might not be, may be a beneficial bug. but I dont like visable shit laying eggs and crawling in my dirt. Give it a drink of neem oil with watering. some pesticides can be put in the watering find out which one will work for ya Look at your roots to see if its aphids for sure

I've never had aphids. I've only seen goggle pictures.. These bastards are tiny.. Super small and fast little fuckers. Neem is ok but I'm looking for a nuke. I want to kill these fuckers all the way. I been reading sns203 also is a decent one? Any help?

I haven't seen anything moving ON the roots.
I ran my fingers along them to see if anything would move.. Couldn't find anything, I know they blend in. I found them digging through the top of the pot. I spread the bottom
Of the root ball a little to see if I could see any others without completely wrecking the roots..didn't see anything. I'm trying to get ahead of the problem. I'm trying to flower next week. I don't want to waste electricity to pump 9 lights and 2 mini splits if aphids are going to wipe me out half way through. I've had fungus gnats before, I'm 95% sure it isn't fungus gnats

Someone last week had a thread about this same fast moving lil white bug in soil. we all recommended something less abrasive like neem , never herd anything back about it

Was it me? Link to thread? I appreciate the thought. I wish I had a 400 watt in a closet and this was a problem and I could take small measures about it. But this is a bigger situation than that. and I REALLY need to take care of the problem. I've dealt with neem for spider mites a few years back and it didn't do anything but upset my plants. If I'm going to feed anything to my plants I don't want to have to do it more than a few times. Do you have a recommendation for something a little more powerful?

alright im gonna start off by first explain wtf it is that's going on if u got rood aphids , first off i want you to look at ur girls , have u had a sudden or phantom deficiencies? it will most likely look like manganese or a magnesium deficient.notice the leaves yellowing and feeling ruff almost like ph is off i have ran into the exact situation u are having and all i can tell you is that you are waging war on the hardest to kill pest with growing. ive only herd of defeating these things in dwc. ive personally used sns 203 and killed 90% of these bastards. the problem with these little bastards is they will climb up the stems so use Vaseline (petroleum jelly) and smear it all around the stem when u drench ull catch alot of em and if using plastic pot around the rim, and glob the openings where it drains these bastards run off and in defense mode can even lay a cocoon and go dormant until winter. and then bam just like that there back. now if $ is the issue like it was mine u can keep using sns 203 every 6 days to try to keep killing them!also used pyrethim bombs as well. i managed to keep them under control for a few harvest while i started new genetics in a tent or had a buddy veg a few out for me so i could go straight to flower with little down time having to veg myself.,while I SHUT DOWN AFTER LAST HARVEST, i did not shut down for long, i shut down long enough to seal off the intakes with bugs shields as i did not do when i first started 4 years back, ive never had a problem with this pest until now..so like i said i shut down and trashed bleached and cleaned every nook and cranny. and keep good hygiene before entering Ur room. i know u already know this but this also means discipline on where you get ur cuts from. some ppl have root aphids and don't even know there passing them, they think dunking in simple neem will kill everything, well not these hard shell root aphids. they start off small and white, then as the grow/mutate they change colors often yellowish green/black/even pink depending on there diet and once they've colonized and can no longer all live in you soil they grow wings and then there in your sweet sweet buds layin live birth in the leaves then. like i said it sucks that Ur going through this don't feel alone in this battle there's not to much info on how to successfully kill these bastards. i myself had to learn the hard way. and shutting down for a few days AFTER HARVEST LOL, is the best option to fully eradicate these pest......if u need or would like anymore info feel free to ask!!! good luck and hope this helps!!!

Best methods to get rid of aphids.
1. Top dressing with worm castings and compost will rid the plant of any soil dwelling pests.

2. Get some rosemary oil or make some. Dilute oil in water and spray the roots or soil drench .

If you have a long time left in veg you can use imid (Bayer advanced insect killer)
That will nuke them. But I suggest that as a very last resort. Neem and what not would be better. When I had root aphids they looked like fungus gnats, so may be something different as others mentioned, idk. Best to identify correctly first.

Best of luck, hope you get rid of those bastards!

P.S. depending on concentration, but imid stays in the plant for 2 months so have to be very careful with that if going that route.

Don't use chemicals on your plants brother. Homemade pepper spray will toast those suckers and cannabis loves it the oils that it leaves easy washes off with foliar watering. Pure cap does it especially for root aphids and spider mites it burns them to cinders. Spray every week until your babies go back green. Plus it's safe and natural wear gloves and cut off your fan or you will only nuke yourself happy growing bro. 4204ever. Easy breezy fix.

I'm with snaps bro aphids and mites are antichrist bro. If you fuck around your plants leaves will look like over riped banana peels they will crumble and yes they will die again and again. Until your plants are completely sucked free of its chlorophyll. Eliminate now the axis of evil!!! You have been warned lol.

I cannot afford to cut down and start over. After this run I will be ok to take time and nuke room and start over then. But this run must happen or I'm fucked. I used bayer advanced last night , the orthene 97 just got here yesterday. I'm still waiting on the merit75 which is 75% imidiclorprid. I am going to veg for 9 more days. YES I am getting the magnesium deficient look on some of them. I've pulled the roots from the pots and some look white others look more brown like a root rot almost. I am having a really hard time finding the bug.. I found small webs at the bottom of the pot I stuck my finger in there and found one little white bastard. But I have yet to find like a hundred of them chillin. I waited a few mins and watched the pots last night I didn't see any running up he stalks after I fed the bayer at 8oz per 25 gallon. But if I dig in the top soil and sit there with a scope I'll see a few of the little white fuckers running around . I am hoping that they haven't completely infested me yet maybe I just got a few from overwatering? I doubt I'm that lucky. I've caught some fliers on sticky traps . About 10 of them I can't tell if they are root aphids or fungus gnats. Does anyone know the difference? I am going to use the merit 75 next water when they completely dry out. Thanks for the help guys I got to get through this first run.

I'm not seeing the duel pipes but it's hard to see when the fuckers are on the sticky trap. The wings are long. And the white ones in the dirt are just to fucking small and fast to get a good look at. But I see some pots are getting what looks to be either eggs or salt build up at bottoms of pots and I see small amount of webs on some of the holes. I been letting them dry out completely but even the badass ones that roots still look good are starting to yellow a little and are taking a long ass time to dry out. The merit75 just got here today so I'm going to wait for them to dry out and then hit them with that! Should I use nutes with it or use with straight water? Maybe some sm90 ? Snap I really appreciate your help.
