Thanks for the vote of confidence Lacy. I write a lot of emails and other things so I think I represent myself pretty well in words - which you are mistaking for smarts - but I thank you all the same!

Sounds like you have content covered - which is a good thing. If we're still deciding on a format, I'll assume we're also in need of a layout. My initial reaction would be to make it look similar to the website to keep the "brand" going but i don't want to overstep my bounds or on anyones toes my first day on the job

The format may partially be determined by the delivery vehicle - how is the newsletter to be distributed? Paper? Email? Webpage? PDF? all, some, none? or is that also being debated?

Is this RIU approved and we have site support? Do the newsletter folks ever "get together" in chat or something like that?

Ok. The format was to be exactly as you stated, all in the rollitup colours and if possible as close to the style as possible.

Yes it is going to be delivered via email to all the members by a certain date which is yet to be established. Yes it has been pre-approved by Mr. Rollitup himself.

This is all new here email and please don't worry about stepping on anyone's toes here. Neither I or Dank have huge egos for you to worry about so its all good. Please feel free to voice your thoughts and ideas as this is exactly what we need.

A night organized to go into the chat here would be a great idea. I am all for that email. Good one. Thtas exactly what we need to do! brain storm for an hour or two.
I don't personally have msn or any type of instant messenger so that option is out for me right now.

Thanks

Hey email and socata.
Here is what dank and I have come up with so far.
Dank still has some articles he wants to add.
Apparently we have the strain review already picked out.
I am doing the top grower review (working on it now) and the medical marijuana article.
Everready and mokety are writing an article about their radio staion here at riu

I think all we need is to add is an update as what is happening here at riu for those who haven't been with us for a while....other than that, we are good to go. It is our 1st edition and I would rather have fewer articles that are well written than try and get as much in as we can.

What I am wondering about is the software I should be using. I have typed things on wordpad and on microsoft office and I can add them as an attachment but it changes the size of the typo. But that is only if I add it here. I fixed it once but like I said, I am hopeless with this 'puter stuff. Let mt know what you think.

Also either one of you two guys is going to have to have an email addy to accept these documents.

I have a goal to get all the rough copies sent in at the latest by the 13th and we will strive to get it out to all the members by the 15th of each month. Most of it will be in well before then.

Hey socata. Which software do you perfer I use?
I have wordpad, notepad, or I have microsoft office with word, publisher or front page. I can then add as an attachment and sent via email to you.

I am more familiar with microsoft office 2003 office word

Oh good I am presently using micro office 2003.
I don't even care if we get the roi colours and format with this issue as this is a work in progress. I just want a good first issue out.

I am going to be sending you some stuff shortly and when dank gets back,, he is going to send you some stuff also.

Thanks

Toss another super-computer geek/editor into the mix. Use me as your last resort when you have a few hours left and everyone is banging their heads against the wall for the answer. I hope it doesn't come to that.

Thanks everready but I am not going to be involved in the newsletter any more. I still think you should write an aritcle about the radio station.
Just send it to Hot&SexyMILF instead.
Thanks
