Republican "job" bills

Also it was stated that this is the worst recession since the great depression so if we don't act now UE would go over 8%. If we pass this it won't.

When UE rates went over and stayed over the excuses have been "It was worse than we thought" (oh really, it was worse than the WORST recession since the depression?). It was so bad we had pass it right damn now!! Now it was even worse than that! I've also heard "8% is probably the new norm in this country". (yes, if we continue to allow the clownshoes making policy to stay in office it could become self-fulfilling.)

All we ask is for honesty and transparency, it was part of the campaign that won the election. Now that he has proven he's nothing he claimed to be why would people still vote for him? I'm claiming racism. His detractors were accused of it whenever they criticized him, so logically, now that he's exposed if you still support him it must be because you are racist.

The idea that government can create jobs is interesting math. Create debt maybe. Jobs? Probably not.
Like it or not the government creates jobs. They have a limit, and they shouldn't create jobs for the sake of creating jobs, but there are plenty of people who work in the public sector (ie, government jobs), too many even, in some places.

Even so, it's still a debt on our economy.

lol, no

spending increases have decreased as a percentage compared to Bushney but this is like claiming you are Usain Bolt because you beat Chris Christie in a foot race.

Spending has increased every year (2010 was slightly less than 2009 but 2011 was more than 2009 even with those damn obstructionists that wouldn't let him do anything), this is even when you include the stimulus from the first year. Projections and trending are on a continued rise.

Look at the rise in spending during Bushney and convince me he wasn't a Keynesian. At least Obama is not increasing as fast, but he's not decreasing as you claim.

Cited articles, content of this thread, and the intent of the OP are all based on a completely fallacious argument because it insinuates that:

A) That Republicans practice what they preach on a regular basis (not true)
B) That these are in fact "jobs" bills

Guess you missed the word "jobs" in quotes
And yes these are being touted as Republican "jobs" bills on the republican house website
http://www.gop.gov/indepth/jobs/tracker

Take a look for yourself
They even have pictures next to each of the bills that are listed

The Truth in Trials Act, H.R. 6134, was introduced Tuesday by Rep. Sam Farr (D-Calif.), along with an eclectic mix of 15 House Democrats such as Rep. Barney Frank (D-Mass.), and three Republicans, including GOP presidential candidate Rep. Ron Paul (Texas).

The bill would give people facing federal prosecution for marijuana possession the right to "introduce evidence demonstrating that the marijuana-related activities for which the person stands accused were performed in compliance with state law regarding the medical use of marijuana." It would also create an affirmative defense under federal law for marijuana possession.
Wait, I thought this was a thread about "jobs" bills.

Seriously though, government shouldn't be passing any "jobs" bills, they should be staying out of the way of those who can actually create them. This is where they have failed miserably.
