i just stick my tomato suckers in a solo cup of soil, keep it moist, and i have a well rooted tomato clone in 2 weeks or less.... no need for the cloner or solutions for those things! The ones you have are pretty small though.... probably be tough to do in solo of soil. I just took a cut off of my wild boar farms blueberry cherry tomato from the last seed plant that i had this year. fortunately for me it started new growth after it got bit by the frost once, and i was able to get a cut :) i'm gonna try them indoors over the winter. when they get too big and viney, i'll just take a sucker plant and start over. i'll be training a single vine on a trellis, and winding it back and forth all the way up to get as much vine as i can in the smallest vertical space possible.

are my serrated leaf edges turning up because the humidity is so low, or because of some other reason? they're trying to transpire more water, yes? if you click and zoom in on the black domina canopy, you can see a few that have the serrated edges turning up.

I am planning ahead here and I think I want to remove the tomatoes from the HID cab. Eventually I will have to drop the hours down to 12/12 and the tomatoes won't do well at all. I'm gonna have to clone the tomatoes now because they have been exposed to HID lighting and won't perform if they go LED. And that's the plan, led tomatoes.
Out of the two that I have, I can take 5 cuts total. Gonna root them in a bubble cloner with clone nutrient solution.
Afterwards once they root, I think they can share a 20gallon pot, I'll just have to prune the shit out of them. 2 of the 5 were nice size and the others were only 3"long. Their not big but should take, mates are really easy to clone. A cup of water would work too. LolView attachment 3544064View attachment 3544075
Lost I clone... the smallest one. It wilted. The other 4 are looking great, no droop, no wilt and there uncovered now. So I'm down to 4. I also added 1/4 tsp of EM, it's also known for being a rival to House and Garden "roots excellerator".

It's most likely them trying to maximize the amount of surface area to help aleviate moisture. Try dropping your RH.

cant drop the RH much more man, already at 40%. they're not doing it that bad.... i've seen them do it much worse in past grows and i don't notice anything ill happening...

but i agree with you, it's like they're trying to transpire harder.... which seems crazy to me! there must be a different cause....

mist them with fresh aloe too. i've noticed that green up some clones in the cloner a little bit if they look like they're having a hard time. not that they're having a hard time ;) im gonna hit my cloner in a little bit with some. also gonna transplant some aloe pups today. i got some veggie seeds sowed yesterday... can't wait to see them in LOS indoors!

The seedling have doubled since the transplant. I top dressed them yesterday each with 2 tsp of castings. Used a spray bottle to wet the surface and leach a little of the castings in. And they look happy now, and obviously growing. 1447771854750.jpg

Hmmmm, I'm heading over to your thread. I need a look see
Um, they're gorgeous btw!!! I got a fucking hard on for that con chese!
The domina looks very nicely done. I wouldn't worry too much about the frilled tips, it seems it's just up top and very spuratic. Could be heat, but with as healthy as your plants are, I'm sure they will work it out all on their own. Keep an eye on it tho-

Thanks! I wish you could see the cheese in person, the pics don't do shit for justice, but they never do lol. The cheese will be 4 weeks on friday! i'm really excited to see what the 2 cheese ladies are gonna do over the next 2 weeks. there are TONS of bud sites and my canopy depth is small, like 20" or less. they didn't stretch as much as i was hoping for but they did bush out really well thanks to pinching tops method in veg. not bad for the first go.

i agree they will work out fine, and i've never noticed any ill effect of those curling serrated edges, harvest have always been on point. I fucked up the Dom though, shoulda waited longer after transplant to put them in. they didn't stretch up as much as they should have, and now its gonna be a lot of big dense buds fighting for air and real estate.... i'm gonna try and spread them out some more today, and clean out some of the innards to allow better airflow.

I decided to go with 20 gallon smart pots after all. I've always liked them even back when they used a different grey fabric. (The photo seedlings are in the "old style" 1 gal smart pots)
These are I guess they new version of them. It's black fabric and it's soft and fuzzy on the inside but the outside is smooth.
I wonder if that's to help eliminate the water runs that the old style has. Either way I'm very happy with my purchase today just on visual observation. Check it out-1447868844129.jpg
