thanks for the post back brotha.. ya, i kind of figured it was gonna work the way yo described, but i did have hIgH hopes it didnt.
so that leads me to my next question...venting the son of a bitch. my grow room is dug 3 feet below ground level. i dug out the floor because i dont wanna run in to the problem of not being able to move my lights high enough again..it sucks when you got sexy ladies who wanna grow big and tall and they cant because i got a 7.5 foot celing...not the case anymore. which leads me to my question. it is almost impossible for me to properly vent the ac straight out the side of my groom unless i build a 3 1/2 foot tall stand to put the ac on, in wich i really dont have the space. what i do have is a nice 8" exhaust line that runs all the way across the top of the room threw 2 1000w super 8 hoods and dumps into a 8" carbon filter that sits in a shed i have sitting next to my grow room. what about tapping the ac exhaust into my 8inch line right at the wall where it exits the room? i have a big vortec 850 cfm fan at the other end of the line pushing air through the lights. i realize the 8inch fan will not push as much air threw the hoods with the ac vented in to the last 3 feet but does anybody think it will work? will it be to much back pressure and fry both my ac and fan? im no HVAC expert but in my head it sounds like it should work...right? 2 seperate fans pushing air through the same big hole... in my mind the only thing that should change is how fast the air is comming out the other end which shouldnt matter in a 8x22 inch filter...am i right or dead wrong?? come on hvac pros and hook a brother up with some info on the subject. any opinions will greatly help
