Question about aerating teas...

Hey guys I was hoping someone could share a little info about organic teas with me.

I have always grown organic until this current run when a friend convinced me to try and run using the H&G line. Not a bad line, but I love my organic and am going back to it next grow.

I have always mixed blood, bone, kelp into my mix and allowed it time to break down before using as a flowering mix. I get good results this way, but I want to have more control over what my plants are eating and when they are eating it. I want to give organic teas a try with my base soil mix.

So, if I was to build a 55 gallon brewer with a barrel and airpump, how long could the tea remain in the barrel while being aerated?

If I bubbled some guanos for 24 hours and then removed the guano the tea shouldn't continue to get stronger, right?

55 gallon barrel just seems like the easiest way to go about it, I just don't want to be wasting a bunch of tea though.

Thanks ahead of time for any help.

I don't know how big your grow is but IMO you'll have to use 16-17 gallons a day in a 3-day period on average. My teas don't get brewed any longer than 3 days, with or w/o the guanos taken out, but I'm sure opinions vary on that.

dont know about ur things, but i know from one who sells the batguano that he is mixing the powder 30 days good aerated to make the liquid extract he sells....
...so i think if u go for batguano and probably tree ashes ( have palm tree ash 0-3-14) u can keep the mix for sure longer

I would do a few small batches to get your mix down. Then move on to more as you need it. I like mine to go 24 hours -72 hours. I guess one could go as long as you want if you feed it properly. The bacteria you are propagating in a tea with guano would eventually use their food source. I have had teas start smelling a little anaerobic after a few days. I used it quickly and my plants seemed happy with it but I was not. I don't want stinky shit like that around.

You should brew for a min. of 24 hr anything past that is OK within reason, I have gone 4 days. Temperature is important.

Your tea will continue to get better the longer you brew as long as they have a food source. (molasses) Don't use manures they can contain pathogens and other bad stuff. Just use worm castings with some fulvic and humic than toss in 1/2 tsb per gallon of molasses.

You should cut your brew by at least 100% and up to 500% so a 55 will make a strong 110 gal of tea or 550gal for general applications.

By the way I can find no research to support AACT teas work. In fact all I can find is research that says it does not. But serious research is just being done now to see what makes it work. I found nothing to say it harmed plants.
