Question about a SCROG grow

A few weeks ago I came across what I thought was a sticky regarding SCROG grows but now I can't seem to find it. Luckily I had pasted it onto a word doc and saved it. Anyways, it recommends "Indica Saliva hybrids need about 12 inches white Sativa plants tend to have longer internodes so you may have to use a screen that is about 18 inches above the pots." Since I eventually plan on growing two different strains, Strawberry Cough which is mostly sativa, and White Widow which is mostly indica I'm just going to put the screen in roughly in the middle at 16" above the pots. Would this be an issue for the white widow?


My second question, and the one I originally meant to ask when starting the paragraph above, is that the thread (or sticky) does not specify how tall the plants will grow on average once the flowering cycle begins. Since they are allowed to grow rather than train them around the screen, I need to know approximately how tall the plants will be on the day of harvest assuming that all factors are normal (I can only pray, lol) i.e. Nutes, watering, heat, etc.

I plan on using cfls, and no more than 600 equivalent watts.

it doesnt really matter if you grow and indica and a sativa both in one scrog grow, because essentially youre training both plants to for a canopy beneath the screen in veg. and then once the canopy is full you put it into bloom, pulling all of the bud sites through the holes in the screen, the only problem you'll have is that one plant will take up more space than the other.. which isnt a problem really its just that youll have more of one bud than the other bud. and it doesnt matter how tall the plants will be on harvest, because they dont get tall, they get bushy below the screen and allllll of the buds poke up through the screen, the whole point of a scrog is to create a field of top buds instead of a big pot tree, so the light is distributed evenly. so what you want to know is how big are your buds gonna get. and the answer is as big as they can

Thank you for the info. I do still need to know how far above the screen the buds will finish at since you're not supposed to train after you switch to 12/12.

The buds will just grow above the screen themself, not the stems.. depending on how tall your buds become, thats how tall they'll be, so maybe..... 5inches, to... 10inches depending on the size of your plant

i have a question? im planning on growing chocolope and i am not sure on 1. how long to veg and much of the canopy is to be filled before i flip seeing that it is a 95% sativa strain thank for your help!
