SCROG and all SCROG related questions

Any 'rules' as to the number of plants planted in single pots vs SCROG may be in an area? 6X? 10X less plants for SCROG? 20X? Gotta be like some sort of 'avg." or rule of green thumb? Is there even any advantage if I have TONS of space outdoors to SCROG ? Higher yields? I would think OUTDOORS to simply top plants and get them out. Trim bottom foot of the plant. IDK. ?

So for indoor it’s all about veg time. The more plants under the scrog the faster you can flip to flower. Where if you have one plant you may have to veg an extra 3-4 weeks. Outdoors is a little harder cause you can’t dictate when it starts flower.

Y’all got me thinking an outdoor scrog would be amazing. I want to try doing it for this season. Have the perfect raised bed for this. Planning to do something like a mini hoop house with blumats or some other type drip/irrigation system. Thinking 6 clones staggered in an 8 ft bed.
For indoors have some old tote bins I am thinking of building net frames over; in the past I have placed these bins on wooden flats with casters for mobility. Big pots of dirt can sure get real heavy. The reason I have shied away from SCROG for so long is because my basement grow is perpetual. I just keep on feeding the bloom room but I know if we spent more time vegging on a screen our yields would improve.
My first stink bud style aeroponic SCROG yielded 6 ounces of premium rock hard cola buds. I am lucky to get only about a third that much from our living soil pots with no trellising; along with plenty of larf and loose underbud. If I could find a way to stagger plants weaved into a screen individually I could stay growing perpetually. Want to harvest mostly golf ball sized cola nuggets. Not sure I can do this in my current veg tent as it is kinda small but I do have some new mothers and a bunch of clones that will be easy to go soon.
Great thread; looks like this is the right place to post our scrog-ress with all the SCROG OGs in here. Taking notes from the masters…

I have been saying I’m gonna do an outdoor scrog for a while but just never get around to it. These are not my photos but ones I saved for reference long ago for outdoor. Uniform and all top colas with little larf. IMG_9889.jpegIMG_9888.jpegIMG_9887.jpegIMG_9886.jpeg

Hi guys! I got a clone from Ca. last Halloween and tried my own diy interpretation of T-topping supercropping mainlining and bubbly recirculating dwc in a 2x4 tent.
I used bamboo as a training rack for a while and it might be coming back. This is my second week of flowering 12/12 light schedule. So anyway I thought I might have time to try a quick autoflower or two and started them from seeds on December 15th. Boy was I wrong! Those girls have frosty leaves and flowers all down their stalks. Meanwhile the clone has dozens of little tops that just started showing little white hairs only yesterday.

Why isn't bamboo more popular? I've really enjoyed no-strings feelings so far.

Nice work. I have seen some sweet outdoor scrogs done just like yours with the bamboo. A guy on instagram but can’t remember his name.
