Project Overkill

Couple picture updates for the followers, got the chains and hangers finished. Soldered and heat shrinked all the connections. I decided not to use the universal power cord plug idea, the power cords for the drivers fit very nicely down in the fins of the heat sink so I soldered a 16 foot power cord to both the drivers and called it good. I plan on using some epoxy to secure the power lines to the sink after testing. I currently have it installed in the tent and set to 50% power checking temps every half hour.

My poor mother plant looking like a tweaker all battered and bruised. Pretty sure I've been under lighting and under feeding her so I gave her some food at 660ppm today she's never seen feed over 450ppm, I hope she likes it. The new light should bring new life into her as well. Yes I know shes probably root bound, going to get a bigger pot for her soon. Going to pass the old UFO light onto a friend see what he can do with it.

I like the remotely mounted driver idea, might use a stand off on mine to create a gap for air flow depends on how hot it gets.

Ill have to check the temps of lenses, I have a temp probe on my multimeter that I will use to test temps so far it's luke warm with semipassive cooling @23watts

Ok, so far temps in the tent have dropped about 8 degrees since ditching the UFO. Temps reach mid 80's now. The cob sink is luke warm at best and I can put my finger on the lenses its a little warmer than the sink, but I couldn't be happier with the temps as its really not an issue now.

I worked out if town the last two days and was unable to care for my girl. At some point I lost power and the ac didn't come back on and I just came home to plant with extreme heat stress and shes probably dead now but time will tell. Im pretty bummed about it. My thermometer reads low of 81 and 99 on the high, I imagine temps got into the high hundreds. The light may have taken some damage idk yet to upset to go check it out. I need to address this heat issue asap!

400 watts (8 Cree cxb3590 72v 3500k, 2 MeanWell hlg-185h-c700A drivers.)
in 5 sqft = 80 watt per sqft... cannot imagine..may be over 2000ppf
I know the thread says Project Overkill. Is it going to be 80 watt per sqft or you have a bigger tent now or do you plan on dimming the lights.

I'm running the panel dimmed @50% or 200watts. I tested the light this morning its working fine, thank god! My girl looks like a twisted wilted underwatered freak, don't think she's coming back from this one. Going to turn the fans on high and leave her under the light today and see what happens.
