Problem with PH level / in soil grow ....?...Any HELP! Please

131230_0000.jpg131230_0001.jpg(12) 12-27-13, seems to be doing real good-better in soil, filling out quickly from topped areas.jpg

After checking the PH level in the run off after watering today, my soil is way off (too high 8.3). But not clear on when I should try to correct it.... Do I wait a day or so till it is dry then flush with plain correctly PH'ed water ? OR do I go ahead and flush now ? There is several brown tips showing up which made me first check the PH. Thanks Folks :? ????

You don't need to be feeding that plant anything right now. If you are worried about the ph of your runoff then you are overthinking it. Looks like nute burn on those tips and the soil looks too moist. Crawl before you walk bud.

I've seen and have read about people that say to do this but you all make good sense. After reading that thread listed above, simply put, Yes PH your water going in but your run off wouldn't get a chance to mix fast enough before running out the bottom of your pot to get an good reading of the soil.

Yes my soil looks wet in picture because I just got done watering/feeding..... so what do you all think I should do if I wanted to flush with only water ? Should I wait till soil dries up, then flush ? Thank you guys

are they sitting in a bucket of water or whats the deal? Also I wouldn't let your soil dry too much. This will cause the pH to become more acidic and the unused nutrients can then burn your plant.

Flush well with 6.5 water then use hydro nutes with buffers every watering so it doesn't happen again.

Checking your soil run off for PH is a waste of time...
You are growing in soil....
No check your run off ever again...

Those that tell you to check run off in a soil grow are idiots, and have never grown a plant in soil before [hydro store clerk]....

Keep doing what you are doing....

Get a real Temp Gauge/RH gauge and keep it between the top of your plants, and your lights...

And Keep doing what you are doing.... Plants look a nice shade of green, healthy...

Don't try to find a problem, where none exists...

Put your PH checker thing in a drawer and forget about it....

Say this out loud to any whom say otherwise:

"I am a Soil grower....so, I never PH check..."

Tell them:
"My plant is green.... I don't check my PH.... You just want to sell me PH up, and PH down..."

"NO Thanks"
