I wanna see the results right away on how they perform over mature plants, it doesnt matter if they started under HID...

Switching to these lights after vegging and flowering under other lights all the way to 4 weeks is pointless, why not quit wasting time and just finish that other grow under hid like it started because its all irrelevant. Get a fresh start with new plants under these lights from the beginning, with a new journal. This ones already beyond fucked with negativity and other useless shit.
Seriously? Your concern is addressed in number 8 on the previous page,

here it is

8. There are new clones under the induction light in the veg room, these will be the first clone to harvest plants. This is the first time that i have typed this and please make a mental note of it (please read this again, so i don't have to give myself early arthritis by having to type it again).

@Sandtrx, I am nterested in your experience regarding heat and induction light. If you can share your thoughts that would be great: I need to understand how much heat they produce, I actually need something that gives off more heat than clf and just slightly less heat than HPS. I think a combination of LEDs and Induction lights would really kick some ass ... and have to solve low temperature problems anyway. Cheers

Hi there, I am using a different temp gun (Snap on branded) I got a max read of 145 degrees. I can hold my hand on the bulb for about 3 seconds and can hold my hand on the hood indefinately. They are def hotter than a cfl adn much cooler than an hps. I think they are a little hotter than 145 though

hi everyone,

been gone for awhile staying away from the drama. I'll post some pics in the next few days. Heres some news

we put 2 blue dream cuttings from the same mother under the hps and the hfind light 21 days ago. The hps light so far is winning in bud size, although not by much.

However. The 2 original plants under the hfind lights are 2 weeks behind the 2 plants under the hps light. For being 2 weeks behind, crystal and resin production appears to be neck and neck, if not a little more under the induction light.

I'll keep you posted as things go along. and i promise pics will come.

Hey sandtrx, nice to see yo back here again :)
just to recap, it is two 300w lights up against one 1000w HPS right? :)
I'm still waiting for them to update their webpage... Takes quite some time lol.
Good luck with your grow! looking forward to seeing the pics!

subbed up sandtrx! Thanks for sharing! I am very interested in what these lights can do. It looks like Solcielo had had good results with his 400W Inda-Gro induction lights

they are supposed to have switchable ballasts in at the end of the month, its on the slow boat. I'm going to pick up the switchable's so i can run them on 220 when

Hi guys,

A little news for you. I was having questionable and disappointing results with the new blue dream that was under the hfind light. It's buds havn't been gaining size as fast as the blue dream that was under the 1000 hps. I put in a couple of calls to Mike and Andrew (the tech guy and the guy behind the development of the light). They said that I had the first questionable report of the light and couldn't understand what the hell was going on.

To make a long story short, it was determined that when they shipped me the lights, that they shipped the wrong drivers with the bulbs, they think that they accidentally shipped me 150 watt drivers with the 300 watt bulbs.

To make things right, Mike is sending me a new 400 watt bulb and driver, these shipped on thursday and should be here on the monday fed ex truck.

Granted, I was a little disappointed in the performance, but i have to give a big thumbs up to those guys for getting things figured out and making it right. I will be receiving this 400 watt system and another one when he gets the next batch in (he only had one to send me).

I can say with certainty now that the color spectrum of the bulb is rocking the hps as far as trich production, the plants are considerably frostier than the plants under the hps. The intensity of the bulb isn';t there because of the wrong ballast (I didn't have a clue because i couldn't judge the brightness with anything else).

I do know that a mmj members gallery is going live soon on the website so that you can see what the plant performance is.

I'm going to have to build a new hood for the bulb and a new cover for the ballast, because it is considerably longer than the 300w bulbs that i have.

I'll be back to post results when i get the light up next week. I am promised a huge difference in growth, so we shall see.

I do have to give credit to Mike and pro grow for bending over backwards to help me (yes it is their problem, but they have went above and beyond. He could have just resent me a new 300 watt ballast to replace mine, but he is sending me a complete new 400 watt light).

Have you ever tried running a 1000 watt HID lamp on a 600 watt ballast? Did the lamp just under perform?

Induction ballasts are current regulated high frequency generators. A mismatch lamp driver is a blown board as it tries to provide enough current to power up the impedance of the lamp it has to be perfectly matched with. Complete and utter bravo sierra and this from the manufacturer....

yeah this is just a markup machine. i was going to try to find an affordable way to pull off an induction veg cabinet, but it looks like im going to go ceramic metal halide retrofit instead.

to sandtrx: we all love our budporn, and despite common societal expectations of this subculture, we expect chronological photo reports;regularly! :wall:

Guys, FWIW I recently (12/18)bought the inda-gro 420 to replace my hps 1k and have been amazed with the results so far. And yes, resin and trichome production seem to be up from previous grows. My two strains are vanilla kush and lemon skunk. (getting ready to pop a couple venenos) They are very happy and I will chime in in a few weeks with more updates. As for the heat, it was drastically reduced and I can hold the back of my hand on the bulb all day long. I'm noticing tighter internode spacing and shorter, sturdier looking ladies.

And, no I'm not trying to sell anything. I'm simply trying to pass some helpful info. Peace!

cgally, please keep us updated! I have been thinking of trying the Inda-gro but there is virtually no info on it as it's fairly new. I can't decide between that and an LED. I've seen one journal at icmag by Nader, but he's only just finishing veg. I have to say that it looks good so far. He's already getting crystal formation in veg and the node spacing looks unreal. He's also doing it in conjunction with an LED so this may piss off some people looking for a stand alone test. We definitely need more journals with the new Inda-Gro 420.

Inda-Gro has been making induction grow lights since 2004. Next weekend if in LA check out the High Times Cannabis Cup 2-11 & 2-12 Inda-Gro will be there with a booth, plants, lights, growers like me, etc.

If you can make it check it out.

The first High Times Cannabis Cup in LA was definitely a blast. We had such a good time. I lost count of how may strains and edibles were floating around just being shared. Inda-Gro had their booth set up and they were getting alot of traffic. They had growers there who use their lights and one of them even brought along some babies that he rescued when he put them under the Inda-Gro and used this polyacrylamide soil enhancer that they were giving away for free in 2 oz bottles.

As to the lights they rolled out a new 420 that has a sun sensor (greenhouses) and a manual dimming option that I had not seen before. I don't feel so bad because @ about a minute into this video the editor @ High Times hadn't seen it before either. Also check out the quantum meter readings they take in this video as they compare an Inda-Gro light with the suns intensity and show you consumed watts while doing so.

What really impressed me was this guy Donovan who drives all the way down from Oregon with his posse just to meet the Inda-Gro guys and talk about his grows using their lights.
