PPM Levels and Nutrients

My first grow is showing great success but I have one question about nutrient measurement.

I'm using the lucas formula which is:

G-M-B (Grow-Micro-Bloom)
0-5-10 - For Vegetative cycle (18/6)
0-8-16 - For Flowering cycle (12/12)

I also am trying o follow these measurements:

Clones 200-400 ppm
1st week 400-800 ppm
2nd week 800-1000 ppm
3rd week 1000-1400 ppm

I'm using distilled water and when I add the nutrients of the formula for the veg cycle I get about 400 ppm. If I wanted to raise the ppm level to around 1000, it seems I would have to add a ton of nutrient solution (much more than the formula asks for). I must be missing some piece of knowledge.

Doesn't the Lucas formula tell you how many ml per gallon for each week? That's what seems missing. You have an upward variable ppm level, there has to be an corresponding schedule for how much to feed. Unless it is just saying shoot for those ppm levels in which case you just add a little at a time until you develop a sense for how much to add to raise the ppm level x amount in your res.

I forgot to say the numbers in 0-5-10 - For Vegetative cycle and 0-8-16 - For Flowering cycle are milliliters of solution. The problem is if i wanted to have a ppm level of about a thousand I would be adding much more nutrient solution than the formula calls for. Or is the lucas formula just saying that you should always have twice as much bloom as micro regardless of the desired ppm level?

yes, that is a formula. Just keep the ratio the same. And increase it until you like it. Just watch for nute burn.

Thank you street rider! Thats what I wanted to hear. I was under the impression that flora micro and bloom have all the necessary elements a plant needs. I am not using calmag and I don't think I have calcium deficiency. I would assume I don't need it but I really don't know.

I have added "Majical" like Cal-Mag.
My PPP are running in flower this mix.
15 gallons of R.O water
75 ml Flora-Flower
50 ml Flora-Micro
25 ml Flora-Micro
50 ml Majical
80 ml Hygrozyme

That gives me around 600 ppm and a low ph of 5.1 which I bring up with a little Ph-Up. If I run anymore then that I get some burning of the leaves. Also, I have not calibrated my meter from new so it could be off, but that is what works for my Nirvana PPP running SOG (sort of).

Hope this helps a little. I am not saying it is the best, but it works. Also, notice the Lucas Formula baries in the middle.
