these just switched to flower yesterday, vegged for 43 days FROM SEED, it is all in the light amount to each plant as far as the yield output in your case, no matter how many plants i believe the yield will equal out either 1 or 9, one ballpark way is to say in general a gram per watt, i used a 250 and got 288 grams, 2 plants, my buddys setup at the same time was a tent like yours with 2 plants and a 600, he got 535 grams with the same veg cycle everything and the same seeds, which is way over a pound, thats why i switched to the 600 and wow what a difference, i was happy before with half a pound but now i doubled with the light and im dounly happy!!!!!
your saying i wouldnt yield more with more plants but i only have a month to veg, 4 weeks max so i thought id have more smaller plants than fewer bigger plants, kinda like a sog.

how long did you veg for? but its kinda irrelevant anyway because your growing hydro so yours would grow a lot quicker in veg.

yh...i just got a parabolic reflector too they are much better you can get the plants within 6 inches of the bulb because all the heat is reflected sideways and the light hits the plants at all angles even the plants in the corner because the light ricochets off each triangle of the reflector. i guess it helps that the reflector is the same size as my tent over a meter across lol. so i know this will help a lot compared to them basic shitty reflectors, theyre already growing a lot quicker.

I veg for 4 weeks and my plants end up 4 feet or taller alot of the time the smaller ones at about 3-3 and a half feet but the majority top 4 and can be as wide as 3 feet or bigger just so you have somewhat of an idea of how big they can get in only 4 weeks from breaking soil veg

CAN get yes, but you can keep them short if you want to like mine at 6 weeks only 10 inches

its a nice clean setup, i would still only go with 4 plants in a 4 foot floor space, grow all those till they touch the wall then pick the 4 nicest to flower out, just my thought and advice to make for happier plants and easier growing, you will have a hard time looking at your plants when they get bigger if you have them piled on top of each other in the tent, there needs to be room for air and your eyes to be able to see and examine everything.

this is my current setup, when the plants are bigger and need more space ill spread the pots out

im more bothered about my next grow this is destined to be a sog grow...

ive just ordered a small 2ft x 2ft tent as a veg tent, after ill use it as a mother tent. because its so small i cant veg the plants in big pots, do you think vegging in the 6 litre pots then putting them in their 5 gallon when they go into the flower tent will give them enough time to reach their maximum potential in the 5 gal?

i remember the first time i was growing i had all the plants in 4 litre pots because i was doing sog but about half of them hermied so i got 3 gallon pots but only had enough for 4 of the plants. so i planted them a couple of days into flowering and they all took off, 3ft in height as appose to the tiny 14" plants in 4 litre pots. so i think transplanting from small pots to big at the beginning of flowering should give them enough time to explode in their 2-3 weeks of stretching. but i wanna be using 5 gallons so thats an even bigger leap.

when do most of u transplant into the big containers?

I vegged 3 weeks in 6" square pots for my current setup and transplanted into 5 gallon air pots theyll veg till next tuesday or wednesday which will be 4 weeks from when they broke soil and I plan on them being big hopin 3-4

If you do plan onn keeping all 17 of those in that small a space i would switch them to 12/12 like now that could potentially turn into an issue down the road if you let em get any bigger

agreed, at this point bigger pots will fill your room, and the plants will be even way bigger, 12/12 now or they will be too big and itll be a bitch to deal with, 17 plants is for a 8x8 room if you wanna have sog, yours needs to be a very short sog or the plants will overlap eachother and half wont see the lihjt, maybe a scrog is an idea as you can control where every leaf and branch is, also lollipop canopy for huge colas instead of scraglies off the bottom.

1 lb in a 4x4 space......you need a 1000, damn good ventilation, a 30 gal res and a 4x4 scrog screen. Follow the west coast masters training style but run a normal nutrient line, screw that earthworm tea crap. 1 plant, 1 light, 1 lb, 4 x 4 space

The minute you stuff your room is the minute you start loosing quantity. 2 plants vegged for 5-6 weeks and topped 7-10 days before entering flower will result in much bigger yeilds. I ran a single girl in a 4x4 tent under a 600 and produced over 600g.

I would recommend 2 to 3 plants max for that area. The longer you veg the better, so picking the right strain will also help control stretch.

Good luck

was that 5-6 weeks veg from seed?

Whats the facepalm for trip pin?
just the way you say you "NEED" a 1000w, you "NEED" a 30gal res....loads of people can pull a pound with a 600w, thats less than a gram a watt.

im just asking because im new to growing and cant mess it up because its for hemp oil, but i know other people could do it with ease.
