Also, for being new at this I wouldn't worry about yields just yet. Get the product top notch and the yields will soon follow. Read all you want but, it's hands on that get's you there.

Zack has given you some sound advice Trippin. Take your time and not short cuts and you can achieve your goal before you know it. Actually everyone has except that Jay99%. LOL And Aim saying only a seedling is possible at 3 weeks.

19 days from breaking the surface in a 2 qt pot.

Once again, Im not sure what you people are talking about that nobody listens to me, and Im wrong.... Like I said before, the proof is in the pudding.... I have pudding, do you? And Im not worried about what everyone else does, I was being honest and trying to help... But you guys are all professionals, I forgot that, so I wont chime in..... And as far as having nothing better to do.... I come on here like 3 times per week to help people out..... The rest of you Ive never even heard of..... everyone thinks they are a pro... I never said I was the best, but Im sure as hell no newb.... But again, listen to who you want to listen to, but personally, Id want to listen to the guy who actually is out there doing it everyday

why not dank raptor i have a 2x4x5 tent that gets me over a pound with a 600 hps with 2 plants, 512 grams between the 2, although veg time should go another week at least on this one for a pound.
who are you.. Big mike from AN? I have never heard that one. Advanced or you got no shot... Do you know how many nutrient companies exist now days?

They were clones. I don't start counting veg until new growth appears. Usually 10-14 days once putting in medium.

I was gonna say 600. Damn son, good work!
Lot's of work with that many plants in a 4x4 area. I won't do it again. Here's my current run with 6 vegged 7.5 weeks. They are all 36in tall. I chopped off most of the bottom growth except the leaves. Hoping for 3-4 zips each. Still haven't reached the gram per watt but, closing in. I'd rather have quality than quantity.

i wouldnt say its wrong, its opinion, but he is right in his idea i know as i grow in a smaller tent then this guy, 2x4x5, 600 hps i get a pound or more on 2 plants easy, im also in hydro, the advanced nute statement is a little misleading tho, i believe any good brand with get you a good yield as long as you follw the directtions as a new grower, once you know how the plants react then you can experiment,
exactly, everything he said was wrong lol

with your tent being twice the size of mine, i would go with no more than 4 plants, youre not gonna get more yield from more plants, thats all in the lights and nutes, among other thing, but not how many plants you have, like i said before i have 2 that gimme a pound under a 600 in a 2x4x5 tent, youll do just fine-View attachment 2534246View attachment 2534247View attachment 2534253
im currently in the middle of a biodiesel mass grow which are going well theyre on a 20/4 lighting schedule as theyre automatics so i plan to start my next grow before these finish up by vegging them while the biodiesel mass are finishing up flowering.

for my next grow i want to pull a pound of bud i have a 4ft x 4ft x 6ft grow tent with a 600w hps and a 6" inline fan with a carbon filter. i plan on growing bomb seeds medi bomb #1 http://www.bombseeds.nl/medi-bomb-1.html , im thinking of growing 9 plants in 3 gallon containers. so say i give the plants about 3 weeks veg time then flower for the recommended time do you think a pounds possible using 3 gallon containers under the 600w? i know a pound is definitely possible in a 4ft x 4ft tent under a 600w im just curious if its doable with just a 3 week veg in 3 gallon containers?

i guess its not asking too much that only comes to 1.7 ounces per plant, whats your thoughts / advice?

p.s its very important as im growing for hemp oil / rick simpson oil

im new to growing so go easy lol

thanks

Jumping in late here, my old grow setup had 2 600 watt in it and I got over 2 lbs from every grow(2.4 for my best run on that setup).
12 plants in 5 gallon post mostly growing GDP, a pretty high yielding strain.
So you can easily get a pound off of 1 600 watt.

your saying i wouldnt yield more with more plants but i only have a month to veg, 4 weeks max so i thought id have more smaller plants than fewer bigger plants, kinda like a sog.

how long did you veg for? but its kinda irrelevant anyway because your growing hydro so yours would grow a lot quicker in veg.

My opinion you will get more off of 4 than 9, reason being the 9 plants are gonna use the same amount of light as if 4 would, and with 9 theyll all be small tops, if you put 4 in there, you can spread them out for light, if you use scrog or sog then you only want the canopy, but with 4 plants you can get easily over 1/4 pound a piece, from just the colas then some good keef off the scraglies, my friend is a pro grower in colorado and ive used all his methods, 4 plants per 600 in a 4 foot floor space will give you a pound if you do it correctly, not saying 9 wont but 4 is much easier in a tent, just some of my experienced thoughts. I would get 2 tents that size for 9 or keep that one for a veg room and get one 10x10, where the room is abbundant for 9 plants to be able to move and view eaily!!!!
yeah but your running 4 in 5 gallon pots, so yeah no more than 4 in a tent that size but 9 in 3 gallon pots would be like a semi sog once it fills out...remember i want to get a pound so i only need 1.7 ounces off each plant if i was running 9 plants. i just feel it would be easier to run 9 and get 1.7 ounces from each than to run four and try to get 4 ounces off each.

i mean...how much do you roughly pull from those 4 plants?
