Post Office Confiscate some of the shipment

Has anyone ever heard of this? A friend of mine sent a package with about 3 lbs. The recipient got the shipment but only a 1/4 pound was in the box. The box was obviously tampered with and then taped up. It also had some loose potato chips in it... Very Strange and my friend is completely freaking out! Any ideas of this bizarre situation?

If it was UPS or FedEx it was probably an employee. I worked at UPS for a couple of years and we were always looking for that stinky box and "accidentally" break it open. We only had a metal detector at the gate that we had to go through, so pot was a real score for us!!! Potato chips, lol... Lunch break stoners

Christmas is probably jackpot season for UPS workers. Three pounds was kind of a lot to risk in one shipment, wasn't it? Break it up and if the cops find one you won't get charged with a serious amount.

This is what i know from working at USPS, it would take a court order to open any package if you shipped it via US mail carriers, "customs different animal". However if you shipped it via private company such as the UPS, they can open it at will.

Knew a friend of a friend who worked for USPS. He would snag suspicious packages from Cali, and sell the weed on the side. He got caught opening one on camera and is now in federal prison. Point is there are people in the know working for all of these agencies. The leftover QP and potato chips were probably just b/c they felt bad and wanted to let your boy know he got robbed, not pinched.

Sounds like what happened to an amigo.

He ordered 500 tabs of 100mg Viagra, a half ounce of hashish, a rare Freddy Fender 'Live' cd, and a pack of 'in the mood' incense from underground dealers in Pakistan. When it arrived, all that was in the package were used condoms and a thank you note from 'Raul'.

Nope he didn't ship it they open it and see it they take it. Seen packages with a red sentence saying "confiscated by law enforcement" and they'll send u a letter letting u know they have your package and if u want it you can come get it. No one gonna steal part of it wtf why would they care if u got part of it or not? Why would they not take the other free qp if you have tracking number you could prob look up initial weight when shipped

Was just thinking that .....sender is probably full of it ......let me guess they paid for the pounds in full before they received them

Right I know people who do this shit and i know what happens when it's pulled and it's not a partial pull hoping you wont complain to the post office that your illegally shipped weed is missing.....they take the whole shit no matter where you live it's illegal to ship it they pull it and either give it to cops or keep it but they gotta have really good suspicion to have a post master check or wreaked of weed.....either way you're not getting a partial package

Maybe your friend thought you asked him to send a QP and some chips. I've ordered 100g of hash from India and also from Spain and both arrived. Pretty good too. The Indian was soft black. Not the greatest but it was cheap, like $6 a gram I think.

Thanks for the reply, I will pass it on and hopefully he feels better. But this is my paranoid thinking! What would be the easiest way to catch a sender is set up the receiver... hmmmm? Damn !

Are you telling me that they cannot open suspicious packages? Don't they scan contents?

Nah don't tell him about the forum posts. It won't help him none. He'll just get mad at you for putting his business on the web. No way to know what happened. Certainly an odd story. Maybe a jokester at the UPS. As long as no cops showed up. They do controlled deliveries sometimes. They don't usually take a bunch out and put some chips in though so he's probably safe.

Hey Thanks for the info! Sending USPS or any other carrier is not the way to go!
I will tell my young dumb friend to never do that again...
