Thank you! 13 42 watters cost around $8 on average, so about $100 bucks or a quarter of some good around here. I've got about $160 in this so far, and I've got everything I need to do it again. I plan on taking some clones and using the whole closet next time for a steady supply. I should also add that if I had a weed friendly space, I could have come up with a better configuration that could have lit more plants. I'm going to try and do something a little different next time.

I can't wait to smoke some of my own stuff. I think it is going to be really good. I'm also looking forward to smoking some with some friends and have them comment on the dank that they have no clue that I grew.

yeah man, please keep adding on to this, I would love to find out how much your overall yield ends up being, not to mention how the high is!

Yeah, I've been adding to my paraphernalia collection in anticipation of harvest; new glass piece (to go unused until harvest), vaporizer (highly recommend), small bags to give some away in, and I've been experimenting with different papers.

Anyone got a paper that that they really enjoy rolling and smoking with?

I lurked here for quite a bit. I've thought about growing for a while, but thought I'd need HID lighting to do it effectively. Once I found this site and GK's book, I figured I would give it a go. I thought if I got 1/2 a zip it would pay for itself. I'm pretty sure I'll get a little more than a half

I will definitely keep this updated. There are already a few things I think I will do differently next time, but I'm going to save those for a post at the end. One of the best ways we have to learn is from each other. Yes there are some turds on here that are annoying, but really we should just ignore the fingernails across the chalkboard and try to learn something from them anyway. This is the internet afterall. While there is more information than ever, you must be schooled in how to filter it.

Thank you for your kind words! That is the attitude of most of the people on RIU that drew me to this site. I know my grow would not have happened if it wasn't for finding RIU.

That grow looks really good! Especially that top cola on the taller plant!
Do you know what strain they are?
I started looking at this grow yesterday and just finished looking through it and this has honestly swayed me to go with CFLs for my first grow.

I couldn't agree with you more.. BUT once you see the book I think you would be STOKED to have it in your hands... It was the book I always wish I had.. It is the DAY by day reference guide for growing... You just turn 1 page a day and follow the instructions and you end up with 8 ounce of chronic...

There is very little money in the book market... it is such a niche market... if you figured out the time and cost involved, it is less than minimum wage.. much much less.. LOL

I am extremely happy to see poppy rocking the BOOK and GROWING some sweet ass plants.

And I enjoy nothing more than BEING HAPPY.

The strain is PPP - feminized from Nirvana. I'm not sure what I'd do if a flower went both ways. I'm pretty sure I'd chop it and carefully check the rest of the plant for signs of being herm.

I'm so happy some of you have found this thread helpful. I'm a pretty private person, but I figured if I could help a few people out and get some help myself it would be worth it to chronicle the grow.

If you have limited space, only want to grow a few plants, if heat may be an issue, or maybe money is the issue, I think CFLs are the way to go for growing for personal use. Just a few short weeks away from not having to drop a hundo on a quarter and fueling the black market!!!

Update below...

Man o man that closet is TIGHT! Every two days I turn the plants a quarter turn, pull the necrotic leaves, check the pH, check the moisture, examine the buds, etc. All this requires moving the lights; sometime moving them ALOT. I'm a big guy, and it can get down right painful sometimes. This is one of the reasons I'm changing somethings in my setup next time. My big ass was never meant to spend too much time in the narrow corner of a warm closet

I am 39 days flowering, 57 days from popping. The bottom buds are considerably ahead of the tops with regards to trichs (more cloudy on bottom, clear or 'spiky' on tops). The bottoms' pistils are also about 10% brown whereas the tops only have a few brown hairs.

I had to raise the lights to take the pics, but I was able to get some better pics of the whole plants. Despite taking dozens of pictures, I didn't quite capture the buds in there full beauty. I hope you all enjoy!
