Poppinsmokey's first grow - CFL's

First off, a big thanks goes out to Garden Knowm for his book, Buds for Less. Without it I'd be lost. This is my first grow. I'm only growing two plants just in case I wrecked them, I didn't want to have to reorder seeds. The pics you see below are:

Pic 1: Thought they would never sprout - Day 2 after sprouting
Pic 2: Overview of ghetto setup (fan not shown) on Day 24 / Day 6 of 12/12. All other pics are from this same day.
Pic 3: Little one got stunted when I burnt it w/ the CFL's as a baby. It has pulled through nicely
Pic 4: Monster that seems to put off new growth every time I blink.

I started w/ 2 seeds (fem) and 2 42 watt 6500K CFL's. I added 2 more 6500K CFL's as they got their 3rd sets of leaves (this is when I burned the smaller one). I had them on 24 hours of light for 18 days. After 18 days they were 3.5" and 4.5" tall respectively. Also on Day 18 they were 7.25" and 8.5" wide respectively.

On day 18 I took away 2 of the 6500K CFLs and added 6 42 watt 2700K CFL's. From day 18 until present (day 24) I have 6 42 watt 2700K CFL's and 2 42 watt 6500K CFL's. On Day 19 I put them on 12/12 light schedule. Today they were watered and the pictures you see below were taken. They are now 5.5" and 7" tall; and 11" and 12" wide respectively.

Any comments and/or criticisms are welcome. Hopefully I'll get some decent smoke from these.:peace:

I gotta get my post count up from "stranger":blsmoke:. What better way to do that than with an update.

Today is Day 27 of the grow. They have been on 12/12 lighting for a little less than 9 days. In the past 11 days both plants have tripled in size. As of 1 p.m. today the smaller of the two is 6.75" tall; the larger of the two is a shade under 10". This represents about .75" and 1.25" of growth per day the past two days. I'm planning on both of these plants finishing at around 20".

I've had to move the lights upto twice a day to keep them from burning the leaves. Once again I gotta give much love to Garden Knowm a.k.a See More Buds for his book, "Buds for Less." For any of you noob growers out there, the information in this book is invaluable if you have limitations that prevent you from using HID lighting options.

A big thank you goes out to all who visit this thread. As always any comments, questions, or criticisms are welcome.:peace:

Hopefully getting an update in before the weekend will garner some more comments. This is my first grow, and I've really tried to do the best I can with the space and resources I have available. I really wish I had more time during the week to check out others' grows, but 50+ hour weeks at school take up most of my time.

Both of these plants have been on 12/12 for 14 days today. These were both grown from feminized seeds. Two days ago pistils emerged. It's really tough to get a good pic, but take my word for it, both these are confirmed female. Due to fem seeds reputation (warranted or not) for turning hermie, I will monitor every budding site for herm-like changes.

Today is Day 32 of the grow. The smaller of the two plants is 9" tall and 14" wide. The larger of the two is now 13" tall and 17" wide. Yesterday I watered both plants and added 2 more cfls. Currently I have 6 42 watt 2700K cfls, 3 42 watt 6500K cfls, and 1 42 watt 2850K cfl. I had to turn the fan up to high with the addition of new lights to move heat away from the plants. Temperature with lights on is about 78 - 80 degrees F. Lights off the ambient temperature is about 70 degrees F. Humidity ranges from 60 - 65% at all times.

Pic 1: Overview of both plants and setup
Pic 2: Smaller of two plants
Pic 3: Larger plant side view
Pic 4: Larger plant top view

As always, thanks for reading and any comments, questions, or criticisms are welcome.:peace:

Smoken Buddha, I'll try and some better pics of pistils. There about 5 times as many today as there were yesterday. Lights are out for the night, but I'll try and snap some better shots tomorrow. It's pretty difficult for me to take pics. This is in a corner of my closet and I'm 6'2" 250lbs with a bum knee. Needless to say it can get a little difficult to manuever around 10 CFLs, 2 plants, a fixture, a fan, and my big ass. Thanks so much for stopping by. Your input is much appreciated. I'll definitely be rechecking sex of all the flowering sites tomorrow.

Chocolate, I'm no handyman when it comes to electricity or carpentry for that matter. I just took a cheap fence post and cut it into 3 pieces and hooked the three pieces together with sheet metal w/ holes in it so it would be flexible. I didn't really wire anything. My lights are clamped on w/ heavy duty shop lights (200W capacity I think) with no reflectors. If you use the clamp lights make sure the clamp is strong enough to not move from where you clamp it with the number of lights you will have on each one. Good luck with your setup choc!

I just wanted to put up a quick update. The girls are 14" and 18" tall respectively.

Pic 1: Overview of setup. I added a couple more 2700K CFLs today.
Pic 2: Decent pic of the smaller plant.
Pic 3: Big sister.

My camera is crappy, but the photographer is even crappier . I hope you guys can get an idea of what is going on. :peace:

I'm sick as a dog right now, but I had to turn the girls today. I tried to get a few pics, but only one came out good. I feel too much like a turd popsicle to retake pics.

Both continue to stretch and fill in with buds. To be quite honest I'm ready for them to stop stretching up. It is getting to be a challenge to position the lights, and I have to move them 1 - 3 times per day.

Today is day 39 total, and day 21 of flowering. The attached pic is the bigger of the two. It is 20" tall as best I can tell - it out grew my stick.:peace:
