Plant growing VERY slowly

Hi everyone. i have a marijuana plant here its just over 5 weeks and it is growing extremely slow. Iv also noticed it isnt following the light? but looks healthy. Which has me stumped. My lights aint the best but i have 2 CFL's. One is a mini light 750 lumens cool white and a bigger one which is 20w 1300 lumen cool white. I grew my last plant with a similar light and it was fine. It pumped. I have cut off the very first set of leafs that grew on this plant to try promote some more growth to the top. The bigger leafs are the second set. the third set have been that size for a while and havent even seemed to grow a bit. It has been transplanted rather 5 too many times , i know i know, but now its in a bigger pot with some decent soil. Its its second day in this pot so i hope to see a difference in a few more days but im worried. I only have 2 1/2 months to grow this and have some bud. just so everyone knows im not looking for ounces, pounds ect... just a decent amount for a upcoming special occasion. Please help what am i doing wrong.IMG_20141116_174403.jpg

it bought a "davallia" ?? or something or rather named plant which was a fern of some kind. I just pulled that out of this pot and put the weed in it instead. The soil in this pot has some nutes already in it. So for now for the next few weeks to a month food isnt an issue. Just need to water it every now and again but not to often its still small. Might water in a few days

Wow.......that little thing is 5 weeks old.....I have germed seeds I put in coco 10 days ago that are triple the size of that.........At 5 weeks I could easily have a 4 ft tall tree

I say stop farting around and kill the plant.............It is obvious you don't have the equipment or knowledge to grow yet........Learn and buy a HPS light and tent........follow a strict light schedule with timers

What you're doing now will result in failure

Poor/unknown soil and very poor lighting is your problem. You don't need super expensive soil, even a small bag of $2 potting soil (walmart) with no additives would be better than not knowing whats in yours. The lights, they are not going to cut it AT ALL. No where close.

If you need something in 2 1/2 months that means your plant should be starting to flower right now, if not earlier. That's just not going to happen with that lighting man.

You can find complete 250 watt HPS kits with 2 bulbs (veg and flower), hangers, hood, timer etc for about $110 on ebay. Trying to grow with those little cfls will only result in more questions and frustration. Not worth it and by the time you buy 10-15 more bulbs (need veg and flower bulbs), the power strips, adapters, extension cords etc you will be hitting the $80.00 to $100.00+ mark anyway.

I just had to transplant my seedlings for the same reason,
so must you
water well!
and balance those cfls,
equally so the plant get equal kelvins

you should never cut off the cotyledon leaves, they give it nutes early on. Looks underfed either by nute lockout or no nutes. Since you say nutes in soil I'd say nute lockout. I had that happen once. Transplanted in my known good soil and took 2 weeks to recover and start up again.

Ok well in the past i grew a plant that had ONE CFL and it was always an inch or so away from the leafs and that plant pumped! Because people go using expensive lighting ect they get the idea that inexpensive lighting doesnt work.. People use 10 CFLs and get a good grow, so they think 1 cfl wont work. well it does... The plant has been getting weird lighting times. one day it had 3 hours and then 24 hours dark. one day it had 8 hours light then 3 days without light. Now iv had it on 18/6 for 2 days and have already noticed a change and it is starting to grow now. My lighting is not an issue... It might not be the best but it will work! And the soil i think could be better but if it was going to have a negative effect im sure i would have noticed it by now. I also live in new zealand so basically our weed down here are used to tough conditions. And our country produces some of tye strongest weed in the world. anyway back to the point.... i am positive that two CFLs producing 2050 lumens together is enough to grow a plant. Also the 18/6 schedule should help it no? Iv grown weed with a single standard halogen tube that you would find in a typical building. 3 foot long halogen ect... And my plant grew fine. And that only had 1500 lumens. I am not going to biff my plant. That would be stupid. This is marijuana we are talking about, not dandylions.. My leaves have no defects on them, no yellow spots or anything. And since iv had it on 18/6 the new set of leafs have started to grow wider, and a tad longer, which clearly means, its working... so guys, i need help, not complaints. Look at the picture attached and tell me im doing something wrong? yes it had a rocky start, but its coming better aint it? IMG_20141118_133503.jpg

It looks so hungry!
Is there anything around the house suitable to feeding it? Used coffee from an espresso machine? instead of chucking the old used coffee away? sugar? lol.. Anything like that? Fresh cow shit? live on a farm. Or would it have to be dry and old ? Anything commonly found around the house that could help? Its making progress you can see the new set of leafs are getting wider, longer and bigger in general, or is that just growth? Tomorrow will be the 4th day under 18/6... Il keep posting pics as i progress through the grow..

Well just google organic MJ food. I'm doing an outdoor grow at the moment, and I just use organic fertilizers. Cow manure (composted) is a good manure because it isn't 'hot'.

As pretty much everyone else said, poor soil and whack light conditions is your problem, re pot with better soil, preferably with perlite, have a fixed lighting schedule and it should recover. You can grow a plant with those lights but it isn't going to be anything amazing, since it's had a slow start it's most likely going to be slow it's entire lifespan so be ready for that

i will look into it. Also will this pot get me to harvest if my plant isnt too big? It looks small but when you actually see it it seems decent.. The lighter was for comparison but didnt do to good lolIMG_20141119_233919.jpg

Don't use uncomposted coffee grinds! In the initial stages of decomposition nitrogen will actually be removed from the soil by the bacteria breaking down the grinds, or at least something similair. Google it there's plenty advice from regular gardeners on the coffee grind scene. If you are looking for a quick, readily available, free, organic nutrient source around the house you might want to consider using a bit of your urine in the watering mix. I know, I know: eeeewwww, piss is disgusting! However, it is pathogen free (usually). Drink plenty of water the night before and dribble a couple of tbsp's to a litre of water. I have done this once with an indoor plant and it seemed happy. No stank about the place either. Plenty of university research out there on urine as a fertilizer for grain crops if you care to do the Googleing.
