Starting up my journal now as my seeds were just put into plugs 10 minutes ago.

Running a 600w no-name brand MH bulb for veg and a 600w opti-red Ushio bulb for flowering.

I'm going to try and run 6 plants in my flood table to maximize my space.

Heres some pics of my setup. (click to enlarge)

As you can see i had to cob-job new reflector wings since the cooltube i bought on amazon came with the worst possible reflector ever. The parts didn't even fit so I made my own, fuck it right? Pic 2 shows I have a removable wall for easy access for when ever I need to get to the back and then I can put it right back on so the plants can use up that mylar.

Anyone is welcome to post their salutations / opinions / requests / suggestions / critique in my journal as long as you don't become spammy. Thank you!

Super exciting sprout pics lol, Fruity Chronic Juice germ'd and is in a plug now, looking at 7 seedlings, so one will have to go, obviously the weakest.

Good luck. I think you will be very happy with the dyna gro nutes.
Hell yes, I'm very happy, only nute brand ive tried was the GH 3 part. I'm not saying its bad, plenty of people use it but ive had great success with dynagro. Every time I'm at the hydro store and i see some 20 something kid looking at nutes i always point him toward dynagro. Usually they don't buy it because it doesnt look cool or have 8 parts but who cares haha, tried my best.

I have tried a few different brands and some are good, some not so good.
For the price you just can't beat dyna gro.
Just for fun one time I did a whole plant in soilless using nothing but the Alaska brand fish ferts. To my happy surprise it outperformed the GH 3 part. This was done side by side with sister clones. Just goes to show that flashy labels and big price tags don't grow any better than some of the cheap stuff.

I am constantly experimenting with something. Soon I will do a wal-mart grow for fun. I'm gonna do 2 or 3 clones using ONLY things bought at wal-mart. This will be in addition to my regular grow. I always say the lights are on anyway might as well have an experiment going or try something different.

It's good to meet a fellow dyna user.

Have fun, keep em green.

those cubes come wet enough.. no need to water them until they dry out.. for best results!. especially with seeds and clones..
All i did was add some water to the bottom of the tray, they just look super saturated though dont they? It's most likely my camera, no worries, thanks for looking out for me though,

Dude! Coming straight straight from Alaska myself, I Swear by Alaskan fish ferts! I've even been told to mix fish guts/heads into the soil during veg!

IT WORKS BETTER than anything I have paid for!

Glad to see you got a carbon filter RL... Hopefully smell won't be an issue for you this time! I'm pulling up a seat right now!bongsmilie

Powered up the MH to 50% to see how the seedlings reacted and they love it, i really need to invest in a small T5 fixture but im just so lazy about it, its been like 4 years LOL.

from my understanding, you shouldn't run any HIDs on a dimmer, even if its built into the ballast. The gas inside the arc tube doesn't ignite entirely/properly and it causes color spectrum shift, reduced bulb and ballast longevity, higher temps in your ballast, and premature ejaculation.... I know they're just seedlings, but don't sacrifice your $200 light when a $2 cfl could do the same for you!

either way I'll shut up, you know what you're doing!:bigjoint:

Heres a few pics of the seedlings in their new home(click to enlarge), they stretched a bit but there is plenty of room to fill in with hydroton when they grow out a bit.

It's been 6 days since they cracked in the rapid rooters, i think they're coming along well, seedlings are so slow ;-;

The CR+ in the little netpot to the left is just there to grow a bit, thinking about keeping it as a mother and cloning it for the next run. It obviously wont fit in the table lol.

Hopefully with a bit of skill and care i can pull an elbow off this, that is my goal. I feel if i cant pull a pound off a 600w that im doing something wrong so this will really prove to myself that im at least half decent at growing.

I most likely will be putting a 2x2 scrog net over the entire grow space to help me achieve this goal.

Plants are doing great, 2nd node of fan leaves coming out quick. It's a bit early but it seems like most of the plants are sativa'ish looking. Good shit.
