Pics of Ripe Power Skunk, Anyone?

I started flowering mine before Christmas, I believe a week or so before, and I JUST cut them on the 24th. I couldn't stand it anymore. They were just stalks, stalks, then BAM...they exploded and now they are drying, ready for jars. The best part is that this shit dries out fast....all the buds seem to foxtail. I only vegged this one for about a month and I was able to pull over 200gs wet. Right now it's almost dry and I'm down to 70 grams but whatever. The smoke is DEF a good smoke. I wasn't expecting it but it was great. My girlfriend smoked some with me and then she started drawing some wild ass shit in her sketch book. I have another one flowering now that was vegged for over 2 months and LST'd, so it's gonna give me a good amount I'd say.

2 zips isnt bad for only 4 weeks of veg though. Thats all I gave mine too

here are a few pics I took yesterday. Its pretty loaded with trich and like the guy above me said it almost all fox tails. they are at about 41 days now

Sometimes when your in last couple weeks of flower when some of the calaxs grow outwards they kinda look like fingers of bud coming out of the main bud, some strains do it mor than others

I Definitely have to agree about the high quality. I broke the lowest branch on the plant and dried it out. The high was nothing I expected. It was really good, especially for premature bud. Actually, I'll say, at the point they are at right now is better than what I ever expected. The high lasted for about a little more than an hour and was all cerebral. I thought about chopping them even though the trichs show they aren't ready... It's not the best bud in the world, but I would keep it around.

I am super excited because last night I ordered some of the original blueberry, white berry, the church and g13 haze. So they threw in the thai skunk and gigabud (??? sounds giga-wack). Anywayz, I'm going to grow two at a time so I can grow monster mothers. Take an adequate amount to suffice til next harvest and give the rest away... this ps has got me feelin really lovable right now. I almost want to cuddle with a teddy ruxpin as it tells me a story...::sigh:: good times...So yeah, can't wait. Dude, I am so high right now.

I am going to find my cam right now to take some pics to show the foxtailing. I love the look of it, but it makes the bud pretty light. And this PS is pretty light...I filled 4 mason jars 3/4 full and it only came out to 45ish grams. Expect pics within the hour.

Took a little longer but I got really high off a couple blunts and played some video games, but here are the pics.

Pics 1,2,&3 are Power Skunk, Pic 4 & 5 are Ice that was harvested a week prior to the PS, Pic 6 is a nice comparision of the PS and the Ice bud, Pic 7 & 8 are PS, Pic 9 is some more Ice, and last pic is some honey oil we made from my Ice and White Widow trimmings.

Let me know what you think of them and let's see some other Power Skunks.

what kind of light are you using ding? Mine look all airy like that too. the power skunk is one of the reasons I replaced my bulb last week lol. I guess it wasnt my bulb, its just going to look like that lol

edit: hey blessed at what week did you sample? Im just over 5 weeks and the trichs are building very nicely, I thought about trying a bud but its to air. I would need a whole branch just to fill my bowl

planted 5 ps, 4 sprouted and 2 were male. the 2 females grew fast and tall ,i lst one of them and left the other they both grew past my light,about 10 inches taller than light ,main light is 1000w hps and added 1 cfl to cover tops of plants that went above lighting.the one i lst has small buds ,but the one i left alone has a main cola about 2.5 feet tall by 4 inch diameter ,at day 49 today.lots of big side branch buds as well,they are very airy and do need to fill out lots of skinny stretchy finger like tips,smells great,i would say they are not bad genetics at all,just very very tall and a bit slow,these are growing next to 2 nirvana ice and 4 soma nycd all at day 49. ps is not bad at all for free,note all other plants are 12-20 inches below light with no training,i will let you know how mine finish

I think my PS seedlings die today. They are obviously not worth the water. Raiderman is right...birdseed.

^^I think they are just kind sensitive and most people fuck them up..


So 28594, do you think your gunna yield more from unLSTed plant? I LSTed mine and the buds are about 1" thick but I have 6 tops instead of one. I know the buds arent as big as they would be with only one 1 top. I didnt have the room to not LST or top them though. I only have about 4' of grow space until they are to close to the light

i would guess 2-3 times more on the untrained plant ,when i lst i did crack the stem it healed but really stunted the growth big time so that may have something to do with it, i will try to take some pics of the two and post them

My light is a 400 watt HPS. I LST'd this one but didn't veg long since it was my first PS female. I don't use any nutrients at all unless I see the plant lacking (honestly I think the PS hates nutes since I burnt it twice giving miniscul amounts of Fox Farm nutes, while my other plants wanted more.) Really, all I did was water them and give them some molasses here and there. Then 24 hours darkness and chopped. I love this high so far.

My smoke sample was at 10 weeks and I dried it for 24 hours. I must say there are some things I like about the PS. They are very resilient, I had a 4ft. free standing light fall on top of one plant and taking a few branches from others. The atrocity I witnessed after a hard day's work... After about a half hour of bandaging they looked like new and had almost no response to the accident. I also think its a great plant for lsting. And most of all, its a great smoke. As a matter of fact, Ding reminded me also of their sensitivity and lack of need/want. My plants always had neg reactions to feedings (fed less than suggested amount). So I stopped and I do just like Ding, water and molasses. And I'm finally glad to learn what this weird bud formation is. Fox tailing or foxtails... ??? never heard of it. Anywayz, happy growing yall!

I totally agree. I was giving them 1/4 strength nutes and they got burned so I dropped to 1/8 strength and they still werent happy. I dropped the nutes to about a 1/10 and they seem to be alright with that

Okay, I have decided I'm going to chop them down tomorrow. I want to make some changes to my set-up before my new seeds arrive. I'm almost convinced that they will continue to flower as long as I provide more than 12 hours of darkness. Also they are screwing up my whole growing schedule.
