Pics of my lil one in the Aerogarden

question. if one were to harvest in sort of an emergency situation and didnt get to flush the plants at all, is that a horrible thing that will completely make the smoking experience suck? is there even a point in finishing the drying process and moving on to the curing process? or would someone just be wasting their time? lets just say its day 2 of the drying process and the small buds are starting to turn slightly crispy, but the larger ones are still moist. the stems are supposedly drying, but can still bend with out snapping. should a person stop putting so much effort into these last few steps since they didn't flush out the nutrients from their AG before harvest? someones gotta know??

muchas gracias, BG! the buds dont smell that good though. they smell more like fresh garden plants, not how they smelled on the bush. i made some killer brownies though out of my male plant. the plant was so big, once i chopped it up it almost filled an entire plastic grocery bag! i made the butter, and i started hallucinating a little bit about 45 minutes to an hour after i ate 2. im also kinda pissed though, cause after i harvested, it looked like i had about an oz of buds, but today, 4 days after harvest it looks more like a quarter or less. THAT sucks. i stuck them in a brown bag, and creased the top shut. i guess thats called curing. what does the brown bag do? i read a lot about that method, but didn't really find a reason why we do that.

i thought hanging them up was drying them, and putting them in the paper bag was curing them. (?). anyways, so im not sure if anyone has ever had this problem before. i have been smoking for 14 years now, and never had an allergic reaction to marijuana. that is, not until after harvesting my plants, which were taken care of in the aerogarden with flora nova bloom nutrients. the smell from the buds is nauseating, very pungent. like i said before, i didn't have time to flush the nutrients out of the plants using fresh water for a week because of some shit going on here. so after smoking these buds, i develop hives on my eyelids, and they become very inflamed and swollen. my heart beat is irregular, and i get very dizzy. immediately after smoking my plants this happens. both times i have had to take a benedryl because it was kinda scary. now, even if i SMELL my buds, i start getting dizzy and really strange. not like a stoned strange, just strange. i threw away my entire harvest and bought an eighth from my dealer. i smoked a bowl, and felt stoned, normal. so i know its JUST my weed that im allergic to. strange, huh?? has this happened to anyone before? and if so, do you think its because of the nutrients in the pot? are the nutrients toxic in any way??? seriously.

I dont know ne thing about allergic reactions but hanging them and putting it in paper bags are both ways to dry it. You cure it by putting it in an air tight container and leaving it uncovered for a few hours a day for a week or 2

you are having an allergic reaction to the nutes...ha...crazy...I am not laughing about it. that sucks you threw it all away...you could have water cured it

what does water curing mean? never heard of it!!

that sucks man im using that same nutes i think. was it the floragro floramicro and florabloom setup? the guy at the hydro place down here recommended these specifically. he knew what i was doin, hope he didnt set me up or something. anyone else use these nutes before?
why is this guy having these adverse reactions?

water curing is soaking your buds in water for seven days and then throwin them in a food dehydrator...makes your nugs really tight and seem more potent...plus is can get a lot of that shit out of the buds...although I have heard a few growers say that nutes if not flushed wont make a difference in the smoke...but that has nothing to do with allergic reactions to nutes

im smoking lowlifes auto hindu kush right now grown in the ag wit flora nova grow and bloom i only use the nova ag nuggz will not taste as good as aeroponics or soil but still da dank ,,,420

kronicChris: i used fox farms grow big then switched to flora nova big bloom. and as for the guy at the hydro store, he was right, the nutes work great for blooming. i wouldn't worry too much about him saying anything though, the guy at home depot definitely knew what i was needing some 8 inch chrome domes and 150 watt spiral bulbs for. its kinda hard to ask for things specifically when going into stores, cause i never know exactly what to say its for! ps. im not a dude.

hah i went to homedepot lookin for a HPS light and no one had any idea what the hell i was talkin about hahah. i guess it was dumb of me to go there in the first place

I didn't even have to say what exactly i needed the stuff for at home depot. i guess i just sort of give off this aura of pot headed-ness! he asked me what it was for, and why i would need four 8 inch chrome dome work lamp clamps and four 150 w bulbs. i was like "um, im growing plants in doors..."

ha ha ha....home depot. I had one of the girls who works there give me a funny smile and slip me her number when I was getting supplies a few months back. she totally knew what was up. lol

I'm liking the aerogarden, with careful control my plants aren't outgrowing my machine and with the sensiseal formula off youtube my plants are looking frosty as heck and theyre only just gearing up to go into bloom!

basically you buy the aerogarden and it comes with pre seeded pods. You push the rockwool cubes out of the inside of the grow plugs, ditch the pre-seeded seed, put your cannabis seeds in then put the rockwool cube back in the seed plug. Stick the re-seeded seed plugs in the aerogarden pod holes. Turn on the light, fill the water chamber to the top of the indicater (it says fill to here) and put into the water 2 nutrient cubes. Then put the setting on Strawberry, herb setting works fine for lowryder and lowryder #2. I've seen the floro series of nutrients work better than the nutrient cubes that come with the aerogarden though so keep that possibility in mind. after youve done all that you just sit around and wait. Keep the light as low as possible with a few inches of space between plant and light so if the plant grows so theres less than 2 inches between light and plant raise the light 1 notch, be stingy with raising your aerogarden lights cuz you can't raise it that far and being close can keep the plant from growing too tall. so basically refill the water when needed, renute the water chamber once every two weeks at the beginning of the week and your good. I personally wait till the third node grows then clip the third node to get two colas and use SOG method to maximize crop to space ration. Hope this helps, it's my personal tested data.
