Those big fan leaves make a lot more food to feed those buds than the tiny bud leaves can make especially as they are further from the light than the top leaves. Plants have a circulatory system just like we do so food, sugars etc, made by those big leaves gets delivered where it's needed. Tuck a few if you have to but removing healthy leaves works against you and I don't give a flying f'k about what these defoliation proponents got to say about that. Anything that's removed from the plant the plant will divert energy to replace and I want all that energy going to build bigger colas. One more noob question for the master. I have some big fan leaves that are covering buds. Better to leave fan leaves on or do you remove? Thanks again, really appreciate the help!
I chop all the big ones first and that opens up the canopy to let the lower ones ripen up for another 10 days or so. Tehy get a lot bigger and greener too.
The buds look a little small for 3 weeks. Is it 21 days since you flipped to flower? And did you start any bloom boosters at the flip or wait like some misguided people say to do? I start bloom nutes and boosters a week before I flip to "prime the pump" and my buds look like that 10 days to two weeks in. I'm using a 1000W HID most times too and that makes a big difference.
Not bad tho!
