PHing water runoff ?

Soilless is stuff like Promix....it has pete, vermiculite and perlite.

And runoff from that is irrelevant. I got sucked into worrying about it a ways back. Just make sure ph of water and or nutes is right and steady before you pour and youre good.

I know what soilless is but there is a big difference between each soilless mix.

In promix i didnt didnt like to get any runoff more just keep it moist and pot up regular.

In perlite, hydroton etc the input should equal the output.

I would however check runoff periodically but that wasnt so much to check ph but more ppm and if nutrients were building up in my mix. High ppms and low ph generally means i was applying ferts too frequently or liberally.

Yes i would say check your runoff but if ph is off its generally because your doing somthing wrong rather than the medium and the fix would be to stop doing whatever it is your doing thats harming your grow medium rather than to start screwing with ph.

Any opinions on using water run off to check soilless PH
You can, to use as a reference. Checking it periodically, to get somewhat of an average, doesn't hurt anything just don't think too much of it. But if you're having issues and its not where it normally is it can be an indicator of something wrong, or about to go wrong. This is more for drain to waste thing really but if you're going to check it, check it somewhat frequently to get an average.
