on the 2 i have flowering, are mother plants that were topped many many many times.
they were accidentally put into flower after i got stoned and was tinkering with my setup... doh!
theyve only been nuted twice, once with 5-1-1 fish emultion when i realized they had flipped into flower, then again later on with 10-20-10 after some def's were shown.... cheap shit, shultz liquid fert, get it @ homedepot.
the secret is in my soil.
it's 'hot'

showing first signs of sex on all 3 strains. i think that in itself is kind of remarkable, all 3 showing sex relatively simultaneously like that.
im scared though. looking like more males than i was anticipating :-( i was hoping for 18-20 fems out of 32, that would let me fit 16 in flower, and keep 2-4 mothers.

more pics tonite

last night i nuted the babies with 5-1-1 and the ladies with 10-20-10

7 of my babies have grown balls.
the impudent little fuckers!
how dare they turn male...

into the bonfire they went too, little bastards.:fire: got 3-5 more male suspects as well...

21 left. not bad so far. all i really wanted was 18 ladies. hopefully only 2-3 of the suspects will be males. if so... well i got a bonfire for them too. cept this time im bringing marshmellows :fire:

i promised pics but i need batteries.. and i was too lazy to run to the store @ 3am.. so, no pics for you!

ill update once i get all the males culled.
pricks... and they were mean muggin the ladies too. they deserved to burn!

lost a family member and good friend on saturday... havent had much time to tend to the plants, but ive culled a shit ton of males it seems. down to 4 aurora b fems, 3 of the pure, bout 5 bagseeds fems and a cpl that havent shown sex yet but im hoping are fems because the ladies always tend to be late bloomers.

the two flowering moms have been coming along nicely, last night i aerated the soil, pulled them outof there pots, pruned a few roots put an inch or 3 of fresh soil in the bottom of the pot, then stuck them back in, and refilled any gaps with fresh soil.
the reason i did this i apparently have been underfeeding the girls and the roots have gotten a bit tight in the pot, causing drainage issues. this messes with the PH (raises it) and was causing a Mg lockout. my bloom formula has plenty of cal/mag and other chelated crap so it was bothering why some of my leaves were showing a mag def but curling from nitrogen tox. just checked on them 24 hours later and they responded rather nicely, no signs of shock and some of the curling has lessened up. i will wait to tommorrow to do any feeding. will be switcing the babies over to bloom formula as well.

ill post some more pics here in a few days.. its been hectic here lately

well i started flushing the flowered moms a few days ago, and have been feeding the lil bitches bloom formula. the bagseeds have really gotten out of control, lol. some have stretched really bizzare like for some reason. time will tell if there worth keeping. the good genetics are cpoming along nicely as well, starting to get a lil crowded so ill be cloning some side shoots here next weekend, and possibly cullling some of the bagseeds, or perhaps transplanting them outdoors. not sure how that will work being there already flowering, but meh. be worth playing with. i never expected to keep the bagseeds anyway, i planted them as insurance in case the good genetics failed me, but that doesnt appear to be the case...

first a lil bud porn for you pervs

the local yocal, is that some purpling? i dont think so... just lighting.

the lil skunk. note the resin glands on the underside of the leaf shown.... now you see why i love this hard to grow runty strain. its kick ass!

the lowest bud on the skunk... note the resin production. more like a hashplant than a skunk, huh.

random under canopy peek of the local yocal

the two bitches, one starting to show signs of defs from being flushed. i will give the skunk another light feeding as she runs a few weeks longer than the local variety

looking not tooo shabby methinks.

definitely going to have a space problem soon.
the local yocal should finish on 4/20 (coincidence, but cool, i thought) hopefully that will free up some space in the double decker. bongsmilie

yeah man, 12/12 from seed on the elite genetics. they were germed 2/23 i believe. the rapid growth has alot to do with my hotsoil and "ebb and flow" watering technique.
also the right nutes at the right time

the 2 bitches in late flower were originally moms, germed about a year ago, just trimmed to all hell before they got flipped accidentally around 2/20.

right on man. the other day i watered my girls and i gave them more than normal. afterward i noticed a pool of water under the pots. by the time i got a towel and got back in the room the pool was gone, the girls drank it all up lol. im assuming this is what you mean by eb and flow watering. so how do you do it?

not at all, pull up a chair.

rzza- the soil mix is 12.5% vermiculite.... thats important. the vermiculite uses capillary action (aka wicking) to pull the water into the pots. im sure you know that i just put it in there for anyone thats not familiar with the term. If you look at some of the canopy/footprint pics, you can see my high tech flood and drain system :) (25 cent disposable aluminum cookie sheets) they hold about 1/2 gallon. i simply flood the trays when i water or feed. once every 3-4 weeks, i pull the pots out of the trays and flush them individually to get rid of any salt/nute buildup. ive never grown tiny plants like this before, im used to bonsai trees, but I followed sicc's party cup thing, and the idea of big buds on small plants just wouldnt get out of my head! lol

haha ok so do you actually see the top of the soil get dark and moist just like you watered from the top?

IAm5toned

yes, usually about 90min after i water, thats the way i know they need to be watered or not, if the top layer is dried out....
