Hey 5toned- not sure why I haven't check out your Pure grow before now! LOL~ effin stoners. Great job though. My Pure is bushier but prolly cuz I vegged longer- that does mean my budsites are not as tight as yours are. I hope my main cola fills out like yours too!!

well i 12/12'd from seed as i knew height was going to be a problem with a double decker cab... and im only in 6" cups, lol. i think the tighter nugs are from the HID, imho.

lol me 2, fuck lugging around lbs and lbs of soil. i think SICC was really on to something when he started fooling around with the party cups.damn, very nice grow man, i really enjoyed thumbing through this one. great job bro.

as one that gets his own head stash from indoor grows, soil pots were always taking up soo much floor space, and all the viable SOG plans are always modeled using hydroponics.
im trying to find a happy medium between a fast producing hydro SOG, and the sweet taste of soil grown organically nuted buds. i think im really on to something here, but its going to take a few rounds of experimenting with different strains and nutes to get what im looking for, which is something comparable to a 1/2lb - 1lb every 3-4 weeks, but of some sweet frosty nugs, instead of hard HPS hydro nugs that look, smell, and smoke great, but lack potency.
some of the idiots around here sell bud like that (hps/hydro) for 200 a quarter and up. last time i bought some (like a fool) i was amazed at the bag appeal, impressed by the smell and taste, but got pissed off about the lack of potency, and ended up getting more ripped of my local guys mid grade commercial/mex than the 'dro'.
hopefully i can dial it in, or else im going to start over from scratch and build a flooded tube design. might do that anyway, as ive had a concept floating around in my head for a good year now.
for sure, he's about doubled in size since the last pics. they grow so fast during the first 6 months!
on a second note, i just picked up some feminized 8ball Kush (barney's farm) beans, as the price was right. ive never worked with a kush strain before, mebbe it will add some weight to the yield. im pretty stoked about how the aurora b is coming along, but its not a very stable strain and i have what looks like 3 phenos in 4 plants, lol! the one that is clone worthy, i have waited too long to clone it, and will lose a good 2 months letting it revert, so i might have to take a chance on it and crack my last 2 beans and hopefully get the same pheno as the one i want to keep. not gonna keep my fingers crossed but its a nice thought and hope to have, if worse comes to worse, i can sghell out for another pack on that one. the pure is also coming along nicely, but i fear that its sativa lineage is not going to be suitable for my op, due to the increased finishing time. this is all conjecture tho, as there still growing as we speak, and looking very nice, especially side by side with the a/b, its nice seeing 8 thick ass sturdy colas poking above a very even canopy of side branches. as with the a/b, there are a few phenos of the pure, and as you can imagine, there is just one that i would like to keep. lol, but same story as the a/b, i waited too long and will have to take a chance on the last beans i have for it being the same pheno. time will tell if the pure is worth keeping or not. it sure looks pretty, and is starting to get a lil frosty, but im just not sure its fast enough for what i need.
pics next update. i know my time between updates is getting long, but i hate to ruin them with repetitive pics of plants only a few days apart. spreading them out like this you see the differences more easily........

Read the whole journal. youve got about the same scale as what im lookin towards doing, just without those hot ass hid bulbs. Im gonna SOG it up, but do it with cfl's due to lack of funds to really grow and lack of space to deal with the heat. I see soil all the way through, meaning, your moms and daughters are both in soil yes? but youre toying aroung with a hydro/ebb and flow idea? i think youre on to something as ive been thinking the same thing but in reverse. build that ebb/flow! i wanna see what that would look like.

exactly 8 weeks 2 days i believe,under 12/12 lighting unless im misremembering the date. now the first 3 weeks of it they were vegging so its pretty close to 6 weks since sex showed. as far as how long im going to let them go... well thats just the thing, i dont know how long they will go before there finished, lol. this is my first run with the pure, so i dont know that much about it at all. i always harvest by trichrome coloration, i wait till there bout 30% amber 70% milky. i always cut first thing in the a.m. as well.
right now they look like they have a ways to go still, though im showing heavy defs in the leaves and some nice buds, but the calyx's havent swelled yet and there still filling out with white hairs.
i will post some pics when lights on in a few hours, its time to rotate the pattern.

I think I read somewhere that it should be 75-80 days of flower- and you are at ~42 days. That's about half way there. Yeah, post some updated pics- I want to watch her progress!

well he is a rescue pup. i imagine his parents were probably big, mean, and incredibly tough, as he came from a house where the owner was known to be quite a successful dogfighter. and apparently a not so successful meth dealer. dude went missing and when deputies went to knock on his door they found the back door kicked in and dude inside shot to pieces.in the back yard there were 30-40 something fighting dogs and a dozen or so pups. rocky was the youngest on of the pups, or at least that is what i was told. he was roughly 7-8 weeks when we got him, and the poor thing didnt have anything as far as social skills. i had to teach him just about everything, his idea of interaction was biting...lol. but i worked my magic on him for a week and it soon became apparent he was a diamond in the rough, because it took me less than 5 days after that to gt him housebroke, teach him to sit, stand, wait, lie down, speak, shake hands, kiss and a few others. so far he has been a great dog, looking to be the best ive ever had, and ive had some exceptional dogs.

sorry for the lousy pic quality but im having a helluva time taking a decent pic with the digital camera vs. the hid lights. having 2 lamps so close together fucks up the focus and white balance big time and puts out an interference pattern. even tho the flash was on, the pics always come out looking dark...
the "air curtain principle" demonstrated here. i took pics of the upper deck with the bagseeds, because they are taller than the elite stuff. one of the leaves is 2.5" from the 250w MH lamp... no signs of burning, pigment bleaching, or heat stress whatsoever... which is strange, because i was expecting tempes to be an issue with the upper deck, as surface of the shelf gets warm from the 400w directly underneath it. not hot, but warm, mebbe 80 deg f. however from the appearance of the leaves, they ladies in the upper deck seem to like the higher temps.... so im not complaining yet. these bitches are done stretching though, so hopefuly i will have nothing to worry about. knock on wood.
on the lower deck, height has not been a concern, right now the tallest plant that is closest to the 400w lamp is probably 6-8 inches away, and the shortest one directly under the lamp is 5-6 inches away. no heat issues, but i did have an issue with over watering, as i was feeding/watering the plants on the lower deck on the same schedule as the plants on the upper deck. however i have learned that for some reason or the other (im thiinking the higher ambient temps) the taller skinny bitches on the upper deck were drinking a little bit faster than the shorter fat ladies on the lower deck... so i lost a few fan leaves from moisture stress on the fat ladies.. although they dont seem to be any worse off for the loss. live and learn.
but to some up this entire post in just one sentence-
