yeah but you want the "volcano medic" because right now they have 3 styles
classic
digital
medic (this one)
like I said probably a head shop could order it in, maybe

They're all the same from my experience. The valve system differs between them, that's the only difference, and the digital screen which is definitely not needed. Just new marketing BS with this "medic" version. I have not seen any listed differences on the manufacturers website, hell the Volcano "medic" isn't even on there. More proof that it's just for marketing. I think it allows LP's to sell it under the title of medical device now which is why some LP's offer subsidized pricing.

actually because it has a DIN# any medical equipment store can order it .... just a thought
Yep, I was actually editing my post as you posted this . Postception. Hmm makes it awful hard to get them to pay for it without that DIN# obviously. But isn't it odd how the only places you can find those Volcano "medic's" are through LP's and not through any form of online or brick and mortar retailer as of yet. Let's think about that for a minute...................................EXACT same product

well with DVA they can preauthorise any medical use type equipment even from a head shop as long as they approve what it's used for and it's covered under your issue, but yeah having a din # makes it easier to justify medical use.

they were very cool with me about it... I was going to get a normal digital volcano but seen this one "medic" lately and figured why not as it may have higher standards than normal volcano's ... even tho they are great anyways from what I hear.

oh and your allowed to repurchase one in 3 years, because of wear and tear.. broken.... blah blah problems

So, how do I go about getting one from VAC? Do I phone my area case worker, VAC themselves? I would so prefer a vaporizer over anything else. I do have one, but it broke and the company won't honor the life time warranty without a receipt. It was a gift, no receipt was included under the Christmas tree that year. Santa must have forgotten. lol
PLUS shop around for it. Make sure its the Medic version not the digital or whatever else. Then P.M. me on here and I will see if I can get you a better price since I have an account with the actual manufacturer ;)

or you could just say how much you can get it for now so we all know, she would need an actual receipt too

I'd love to but there is a minimum advertised price in the contract. So I cannot publicly post any price other than the MAP which is: $669

The receipt part...well of course, how else could I sell to her? We don't sell things out of the back of a truck. NOW if there is more interested folks who'd like to come in on a group buy...we get price breaks from the manufacturer at 7 units, the next one is at 13 units, 24, etc. So let me know if anyone is interested and I'll see what we can do. Price breaks are not gigantic but a few bucks here or there matters.

"We don't sell things out of the back of a truck." well this is a forum of course pretty close to the same thing, no website to point to with prices?

$669? Damn that seems pricey, even for a Volcano. What's the difference between the Medic and Digital? Other than the extra $200 I mean.

I'm guessing the ony major difference is that the medical advice had to go through the process of getting all the necessary approvals, and that isn't cheap. Purely speculation on my behalf, but I'd guess that they are essentially the same unit save for a few components which needed to be upgraded to stainless steel, etc. to meet medical device standards. Agracan, if I'm totally off on that feel free to correct me. I couldn't find any information online listing how the medical unit differs from the regular Volcano unit.

Yup plus I'm assuming that a bit of the extra markup is due to it being a certified medical device (them knowing that you'll be able to claim at least a portion of the cost somehow).

hahaha like when the military buys a wrench ... 10x more money.... same wrench as you could get at crappy tire but because it was bought for the military it costs more. unreal eh

The check valve is a bit of an unnecessary gimmick IMO. You are breathing the air around you anyway, I'm not really sure what anyone would be concerned about contaminating their bag of vapor. It's a nice addition, but check-valves cost pennies so that can't really be built into the extra cost. The ability to vape concentrates effectively is huge though, and in itself is likely worth the extra $200 on its own.

I'm no vape expert though, scientific glass is my preferred method of administration. bongsmilie

Seems to be the only listed difference I can find is the mouthpiece. They have always had the ability to do concentrates. Mine came with a concentrate pad which is specifically for that. And I purchased mine 4 years ago.
