Cannabinol Patents where match head size doses have the comparison to PCP. Really evil recrystallized marijuana that can be snorted, smoked, oral, rectal, or injected. When people discuss their high, they all say the same thing, that shits gnarley". If your under 50 years old, you never seen the shit. My buddy offered me $300 for a gram of cannabinol. He doesn't even like weed, but loves cannabinol. I have not been able to get the product purity to near 100% to be able to recrystallize, but will most likely try again since that offer is so tempting.

Who's fin? I'm aka co2extractor, but this site claims to many subject similarities to use, so I had needed a different user name.

So how's the big man since taught by Apeks Supercritical? Got theory down now? Do any CBD or THC fractions yet? Did they cover that area, or you gotta pay extra for that? LOL.

I figured after so long of a break I would no longer see oilmkr but guess not
Nice seeing you around!

When you do take breaks, where can I find you?

I usually go to Z-Labs.

I have been meaning to ask you some questions about the CO2 extractions. Especially since I have started making naturally decarbed oil instead of RSO. Night and day difference since the ND oil contains cannabis terpenes. I would like to know more aspects of the CO2 extractions as to whether or not that oil contains the terpenes that get lost during a heat extraction.

Is there heat required that actually hits the material? Is winterizing a must? Those things seriously effect the terpenes.

Have you seen terpene tests on CO2 oil vs. alcohol extracts? I have seen terpenes profiles from buds and concentrates, but the concentrate method was not specified.

First you are right, I am under 50 and can't say that I have seen cannabinol. I could if I wanted, I could just ask one of my patients to get a prescription, no problem.

I am not interested in that though. I have exceeded those effects. It may not be what the snorters or injectors prefer, but, I have exceeded it. In this picture is a large size dose that I take, only on the weekend. It is slightly diluted with grain alcohol. I only need to take a dose every 48 hours. Just one dose. This size or smaller. If I stop taking it, I will maintain a consistent buzz of the same strength for at least 48 to 72 hours. This dose is a little smaller than a match head. It is on my pinky fingernail. If I scraped it up into a ball I believe it would be smaller than a match head. No crystalizing needed. It contains all of the THC without damage, contains CBDs and terpenes. The key is the terpenes and no heat for a decarb. Oh, of course made with top shelf buds. Everything in this oil is organic, grown in soil, the solvent used (organic ethanol), everything. I feel that is someone paid $100 or more per gram, they would not be disappointed, if they plan to eat it. If you ask me, ingesting organically made cannabis concentrate is some of the best, most healthy medicine one can take. I don't think any synthetic crap can come close to comparing! :D Making the oil this way with my best buds, at best I am only getting 3 grams per ounce. No winterizing, light filtering, and no heat, fully naturally decarbed. I am surprised I am getting less oil per ounce, but it is so worth it!

as far as I know no one is doing terpene testing for their products, might be because no one offers it yet or no one is asking for it yet.
at any rate I took a long unintended break from here. didn't go anywhere as my computer was down but that was not why I was away

Terpene testing has been going on for quite some time actually. It is discussed in my essential oil books. They mention the same gas chromatograph or something like that.

After seeing what the marijuana terpenes can do, I would have to say that terpene testing would be the utmost priority. More valuable than knowing the levels of THC or CBD. Petty percentages doesn't mean that much to me. Knowing all of the compounds that are in the product does mean something to me, especially the terpenes.

I have seen a few terpene test results on marijuana, but I don't think they tested for all because there was less than 10 listed and cannabis is known to have 133 terpenes last I read.

Anyway, does the CO2 oil require the concentrate to be winterized?

Is there any actual direct heat applied to the material during the extraction or after? That would be heat above room temperature.

The reason I ask is I have seen a company that produces CO2 oil bragging up that their product contains all of the cannabis terpenes. If the answer to either of my questions is yes, then I would have to say that no, their product does not contain all of the terpenes.

Looking forward to an answer to my questions.

I would have asked a lot sooner, forgot I have your e-mail address! Then again, if your computer was down...

One day I might get brave enough to get one of these and send in a sample to a lab.
essential oil distiller.jpg

This baby is meant to steam distill out only terpenes from plant material. It is very tempting to steam distill out terpenes from marijuana and send it to a lab to see exactly what terpenes are in the plant. If done correctly it should not contain any THC, just terpenes.

I would like to know exactly what terpenes are in marijuana because there are many plant terpenes that have amazing properties. I also believe that there are terpenes in marijuana that can pass through the blood brain barrier that can increase the length of the buzz, more than double. It would be cool to know so I can compare it with the terpenes of other plant extracts.

Medicinally speaking I would put the terpenes from cannabis up against any THC or CBD any day. Unfortunately, terpenes are easily evaporated out. With any heat they can quickly degrade and become oxidized and destroy the medicinal properties.

Grow Goddess you might want to check out Hash church on Sundays on Bubblemans You tube channel. Whether you like him or not there are a few guys on the panels that have been doing terpene extracts for a while. They talk about it quite often. I don't know any of their names off hand that's why I suggested checking out the show, and maybe you can get instagram accounts and get more info. They give them out every week. The terpine extract sounds crazy. You need to know what is up. Some of them are very caustic, and can melt some plastics. And you are def right that they will pass the blood brain barrier and that's where the magic happens. It is a matter of what effect they have on the buzz. Possibly increase length of high as well as strength, and depth of high. So I hear.

Dr Justin Fischedick did his post doctorial studies on cannabis terpenes and is worthy of Googling dr. justin fischedick phd and checking out.

First an unaltered raw BDS is way better than any thc fraction around. Thats because the terpinoids, flavanoids, and cannabinoids together have a synergistic effect where the three together feed each other making it more potent than the sum of the three. Co2 at 50C, will extract some terpinoids like limonene, but by adding a small amount of hexane to the extraction, it targets more terpinoids by having the co2 focus on that area. It's perhaps the reason several different co-solvents are used vs a can of butane. For the virgin extract, I try yielding close to 10%, because we can get more rather easy, but w the addition of non targeted compounds as well. That weakens potency, fucks up flavor, and can lead to black colors. Not all black stuff sucks. The famous recipe for honey oil using a co2 tank calls for ethanol and in california, 151 everclear has a 24% water content leading for dark black being normal. It doesn't get sweeter than this though. Very distinct, the main separation from bho, due to flavor and smoothness, the high is right on too. That is the complete package. Extractions that are supercritical will have a stable temperature constant in the range of 40-65C or 104F-149F. The pressure perhaps just as important usually goes to 6,000psi. and about 10,000psi at 100c.

Not really through steam distillation, but by means of melting point apparatus. There will be a crossover where the thc will contain some terpinoids, but will be reduced from the raw bds. This patent being discussed has a product purity of around 100%, and looks like crystal meth, but is weed way wicked. Complete loss of motor skills is expected and most of us have never seen it.

Butane is going to largely extract flavanoids. It has a small spectrum it's able to dissolve and isn't used for terpinoid recovery. Only a few solvents I know of that can target and remove terpinoids for extractions. Hexane, soy, or oxygen compressed are some of the very few. Chloroform for THC, and freons are the shit for extractions. Thank you Dupont for your tremendous research and conforming to all kinds of new regulations.
