those stems were pretty thick...

should be very interesting.

i figure....using Bio Bloom to fatten the buds up, and when height is becomming an issue...out comes the Purple Maxx, which will restrict the height and fatten it up even more! I hope it works!

PS. The ventalation is working great in the box! Its finally good to get it going. Tuesday it will be set on 12/12, With 4 plants, the 2 clones, and 2 lil guys. Should be very interesting! STAY TUNED!

You can also use Bush Master made by Humboldt Co.
It will totally stop all upward growth and allow more
energy to go to side growth and flowering.

Looking good!

Heat has been a real issue. The clones died because the heat in the box got over 120. IDK what the fuck I am doing wrong. There is only 10 CFL's in there. The box is 14"W x 21"D x and 22"H. I can cut the bottom off and make so there would be about 34"...giving it more cub. ftage. I think will solve out heat issues once and for all. The mothers are looking good and growing strong...they need nutrients bad...is it bad to feed them bloom nutrients already. I'm thinking 1/3 strength....cause we just flipped to 12/12. This is due to the fact that we are going to start over...and use some Fem. Seeds of some Blueberry x Rosetta Stone straight from Amsterdam. Five are germing right now...and we plan on making this a scrog setup.

This is either going to be done on the side of the box where the mothers are now...or actually in the box. I need opinions here. Can i squeeze my 150 HPS in the box? It will fit in there...but would i be better off cutting a hole in the top of the box? I planed on doing this in the first place but instead decided to go with 10 cfls due to heat...but my heat was SO INCREDIBE! Holy shit...i had 3 fans sucking air out of the back and it cooled it down a bit...i added a 4th 120 Volt fan and it helped even more but i cant get below 100!!!! Im going to try to squeeze our HPS in there and take the bottom of the box out into the drawer!

We have to keep this grow SMALL! My buds landlord is getting a lil upset at the size...and wants it kept small. So here is my GREAT IDEA!

SCROG BABY! He is going to complain about the number of plants....heres the plan.

We take the bottom out of the box...that is the top of the drawer. We place the plants on the floor in pots...and place a screen where the bottom of the box was. That give us about 6 inches from the soil to the screen...and with the 4" depth of the HPS....that gives us that give us 15" viable budding inches...which I think should be enough?

Will a 21" x 14" scrog produce anything?

Oh the plan was to grow 2 plants and fill the screen 80% before flipping to 12/12.

thats like maybe 3-4 weeks training aftering hitting the screen...then another 8 for flowering. Should be good no?

Thanks DRO.... We are gonna make a small box with one CFL for clones...and we are gonna do our screen idea. Pictures comming really soon.

I am germing 5 Blueberry x Rosetta Stone seeds now that are feminized...straight from Amsterdam. Will be getting those going and growing so we can throw everyhitng we got into flower at once.

Hey man, your plants look like theyre growing pretty healthy. Your lighting situation needs some help though. Is privacy an issue at home? If it isn't, I would consider using your boxes as a supplement to the natural light in your area. Im not recommending you do anything illegal either- but I am recommending (for the sake of the plants) that you get them out of that box for some time throughout the day to let them breath. The lights create negligable amounts of heat on their own but if you stack them all real close in a poorly ventilated area, they can produce alot of thernal energy. The pics look like youre running alot of the "warm light" bulbs... use a more even ratio of cool blue to warm. I would try to use about 70% blue and 30%warm lighting for veg. and then use a little more of the warm for flowering. Lighting experts- please correct me on the correct blue-warm lighting ratios.

What sucks about the fluro lighting is that you have to get the lights reeeeally close to the light to get all the lumens you need. The light is spread very widely in fluro lighting and the closer the plant is, the more available all that light energy will be. You also gotta be careful not to get the plants too close.

I would say just to get rid of the reflectors altogether. If I were you, I would just hang those bulbs, at varying heights, all around the plants. I've seen this done with great success in grow boxes similar to your own.

Judging by the quality of seed youre planting, you not only have exceptionally good taste, but you probably also have the cashmoney to buy some higher quality lighting and ventilation. If DIY is something you take pride in (as we all do) then just buy yourself a bulb, socket, and ballast (unless youre some kind of electrician) for less than $100 and put it all together yourself and fit it with a nice DIY refelctor. You would then need some serious fans to cool this all down but you would be growing with a greater yield of product for your time.

Another lighting alternative that you should def look into is LED lighting. With a circuit board, some leds and a little know-how, you can make your own led lighting system. You can get the plants right up the the led and not burn the plant cuz led produce no heat. Using different ratios of blue:red leds, you can stimulate veg or flowering stages.

Youve got all the right moves you just need to change your dancing partner.

Youve gotta get rid of the box or the lights or the ventilation.

The plants look great!
Really I was going through threads and i found this one. It struck me b/c no one was posting and it was bothering you. well your plants look great, but since you maybe feel the way i do can you check my grow journal out and give me some ideas pointers anything? You'll understand why i'd like someone who's obviously had success to check it out. once you see whats going on you'll understand. Sorry that it wasn't usefull to your journey but i am really interested in seeing the pics from your screen setup!!
Thanks and sorry for the intrusion!

grow on!
